Tips to avoid getting really drunk

I'm a lightweight. Even a couple of shots is enough to make me tipsy. However I used to think I was weird that having beer or mixers (coke) tend to get me even drunker.

 

Actually I watched an asian health show (forgot from which country), it confirmed my experience. The soda inside those drinks can make the alcohol in your blood "rises" faster that resulted in you getting hammered easier.

 

Another tip to "skip" the worse part of hangover.

 

Just before you went to bed, drink TONS of water. It would prolly make u piss in the middle of the night, but it would make ur hangover a lot easier. A japanese friend taught me this trick when i;m in college. Like I said, being a lightweight I tend to need a lot of tricks lol.

No, it can't make you get drunk faster, but it can make you drink faster. Pure spirits will get you drunker faster as you will only be as drunk as the amount of alcohol you put down your throat.

 

I can recommend drinking lots of water but all its doing is re hydrating your body due to dehydration from alcohol. I usually have a large bottle buy my bed over there anyway as I need it after a good session.

 

To be honest I think a couple of good shags a night is the best cure for a hangover, well it was for me as I did not get one the whole time I was in Pattaya and was drinking and shagging every night :Hair_Out1:

Have a big doorstep sandwich for a meal before your drinking session. It soaks the booze up, stops you getting too drunk and helps to prevent a hangover.

I'm having to consider this at the moment as the Dr has me on Roaccutane which is hard on the liver. I can still drink but not to excess as I sometimes might.

 

My approach in Pattay will be:

1) Big meal before I go out

2) Have one alcoholic drink followed by one soft drink (or 2) followed by one alcoholic drink etc..

My tip for the day is dont drink if you cant handle it.

I highly recommend a pint of water, a pint of milk and 2 headache pills before I go to bed - it's so fucking funny to wake up in the morning and find them on the bedside table!!! I'm always too pissed to remember to take them!!!! Hehehe

Every time I pass a 7-11/Family Mart I normally pop in for a bottle of water (a whole 7 bahts!). You can always finish the water off in a beer bar or restaurant/cafe. I also always leave my room with a cold bottle in hand. Seems to help me, and then the JP bar goes and fucks everything up!

My Pattaya budget is perfectly adequate as long as I don't spend any of it

I met up with a BM on my second night. As we both ordered beers he ordered his with ice. I looked at him funny and asked why, as my brain was not registering it. He said it keeps me hydrated. That night is when I started doing it and never had a hangover, but drank a ton.

I am a fat kid in a sweet shop, I just cannot choose and want it all.

Wow you have a great problem!!! I would be richer/healthier if I could get hammered quickly!!! Eat fatty foods(each country's "drinking food" has a good amount of fat in it for a reason), and stick to beer..

I suffer from terrible hangovers, even if I just drink one glass of wine/bottle of beer sometimes - so have afew strategies to avoid them :GoldenSmile1:

 

Best tested method for me is to alternate drinks, one alcoholic, one soft drink/water. 2 Paracetamol before bed, or when you wake up in the middle of the night/morning for the loo, also a bottle of juice/water to hand for topping up your fluid intake.

 

Vit C and/or electrolyte powders are really good for rehydrating if you still feel like poo.

 

Last resort if I really feel crap is (in Pattaya) a full english, it's a bit of a gamble, but whether it stays down or not, always makes me feel tons better - goods news is I only needed to have one last trip after a night drinking just Chang - love the stuff, but I felt like I was dying the day after!! :Bravo1:

In the last few years I have cut back a great deal on the drinking that I used to do at weekends and also the few pints after finishing work, so when I hit Pattaya for a months holiday I am really out of drinking practice, for the first week to ease the thumping head I stock up with Beachhams Morning After and put 3 sachets in one glass of water followed by more water throughout the morning, also if I remember a bottle of water before sleep really helps.

 

Luckily after 5 or 6 nights of drinking I seem to get back into the swing of it and around 20 Heineken`s sank during a night out does not result in too much of a hangover providing its not mixed with spirits.

i just stay drunk !. no i'm not being a smartass.

i doubt that my blood alcohol level ever drops below .05 !.

but drinking lots of water before going to sleep alleviates much of the dehydration affects i,e mouth full of parrot shit when you wake up etc.

Always take some rehydration salts, couple of quid in boots the chemist for 6 sachets, work wonders for hangovers and just as useful for when you get the Thai trots!!

Try giving yourself time between drinks. For every two alcoholic drinks ordered, try ordering a non alcoholic drink. It's a lot better for me than drink after drink after drink.

I usually drink beer with lots of ice cubes. Dilutes nicely, keeps the beer cold and provides instant re-hydrating ;).

Some great tips there, thanks. I am a light weight as well so always on the lookout for tips to improve my drinking and avoid hang overs. Another issue I have is not cumming if I'm drunk. Does Kamagra or Cialis help with that or are they purely to get you hard?

I am lucky that I never have a problem getting hard but sometimes have a problem cumming

You are right food before a drinking session is a good idea, but food does not soak up booze this is a myth.

Drink lots of water Before you start on the booze, and a pint of water before you sleep .. Every morning i put 1000 mg vit C (soluable) in my water. Makes for a refreshing drink, and rehydrates......GoldenSmile1.gif

I agree with most bm. Order soda (water no coke) alongside your drink and alternate with your drink. A fuck or two at night should really clear it all for a fresh start the very next day.

Before starting drinking:

Big meal and bottle of water.

I also have a Lipovitan. Lining your stomach with milk can help too.

Then do the drinking. You do a lot of walking and probably a ST or two also so that should burn some of the alcomahol outta your system to help.

Then maybe at 11 have a gatorade and/or a bottle of water. Lipo optional.

 

Then when back at the room, if you want to totally have no hang over bang your chick.

Before or after that or during if you want, have another gatorade and a big bottle of water.

Wake up in the morning fighting fit.

 

Also will help make sure u come, if u sometimes have trouble with that due to too much alcohol etc.

Electrolytes are the key. Being hydrated makes your body and muscles work properly, so make sure u do drink water during the night too.

 

But yeah that will guarantee no hang over whatsoever in the morning. I do it everywhere not just in thailand. Works a treat.
