Deep Sea Fishing

What’s the fishing like, I guess it not the best?

Any other fisherman on the site?

How would I organise a trip?

Next time I’m in Pattaya I was thinking of trying for a change from the normal day to day things.

The lads here usually charter a boat with a good skipper for about 500Bt each if there is a few of you .

I went on one yesterday but it was mostly a drinking day as the bars had to close for a national holiday.

There is some deep stuff about but inshore is only little stuff.

I was told there was some good fishing off the Light House though so I'll be trying that out.

I did see some Eagle rays jumping recently and they are good sport.

The more organised trips work out at about 1000Bt each I was told and there are plenty of places advertising them including several bars.

The only down side is the lack of life preservers so PM me when you're here , if you want ., and I'll lend you one.

I came off a boat once without one and nearly shit my self to be honest.

Now I play safe. :Chokdee:

There is a bar on Soi LK Metro that does regular Deep Sea fishing trips but i'm fecked if I can remember its name. If you head out of the Rockhouse and turn left its on the other side of the Soi a few doors up.

Tropical Berts does weekly fishing trips as well.

You can also try Pattaya Fishing who seem to specialise in all sorts of fishing.

If you want to stay on land there are several fishing parks in and around Pattaya and Jontiem.

What are the fishing parks like? What are the costs approx with tackle hire? Any idea what fish are stocked in the lakes?

Cheers

Forget it, there is no good fishing in Pattaya unless you are fishing with the pole between your legs, then it is wide open.

the fishing park in jomtien can be good fun, just a chilling day with a few friend some food and lots of drinks, catfish can be up to about 15kg. i have hired boats about 4 times for deep sea fishing but no matter how much you try to tell them 'big fish' never seem to get that and only end up going reef fishing.
