buying a new mobile phone

is it cheaper to buy a new (non contract/unlocked) mobile phone in UK or LOS?

Not sure on price difference, but I went to Top's I.T. Centre on South Pattaya Rd to buy a phone last year. They have hundreds to choose from. I only got a Nokia 1200, which is just a basic phone to use in LOS.

 

I think I paid about 1200 Baht including 200 Baht talk time.

I thought you could pick up a phone at Tukcom for about 600. That is what I plan doing this time. Is this wrong?

You can buy almost anything you like here but the UK is cheaper for phones, especially 2nd hand due to the large 2nd hand post contract market.
