Tingtongtony is throwing a St George's Day party on the 23rd April at the Cherry Bar on Soi 8. (starting 8pm)

 

So if you're around and want to have a lot of fun, meet some other boardies in town or you're just after some free food, then why not drop in.

 

I would appreciate any helpful suggestions on ideas for food, drink, outfits and party games to make it a truly English party.

I will be there- no idea about food - I do not even know what St George Day is?

St George is the Patron Saint of England. However to celebrate it in England is not encouraged by our politically correct politicians as it is said to offend other nationalities who have arrived in the UK in recent decades. Believe it or not in some cities in England throwing a party such as this one would invite a visit from the police and 'diversity awareness officers' who would immediately put a stop to such 'racist' festivities. Strange but true, it could one day be featured in 'Ripley's Believe It Or Not' exibition on the third floor in the Royal Garden Plaza.

We will be partying in my local the St George crosses are up already.9am free breakfast free fish and chips lunchtime.They have t-shirts hats ect to give away.name of the bar MURPHY'S BAR.There is no way he will take them down before and yes he has problems in the past from the police.But i would still prefere to be with you in thailand.

For the St George's Day Party, we're going for Fish & Chips (provided by Goose's Fish & Chips) and Curry (there will be other food available as well) to make this a traditional English Friday night.

 

If you want it hot, there will be servings at 9pm and 10pm

I've got my outfit ready for the party !

 

I'm an American and have been ignorant of of St. George's Day until Hammer's post. Since then, I've done some reading about St. George's Day and it sounds like a great tradition. I wish I were in town for the celebration.

Arriving BKK at 16.00 hopefuly, so should be there
