Emirates from Gatwick to Bangkok

i recently booked a flight with emirates from gatwick to los £480,with a 2 hour stopover in dubai and the same for the return journey just enough time for a few beers in the irish village.i booked on the emirates site and i think this is a good deal.used to fly emirates from birmingham but to expensive and long stopovers in dubai which is not good for the wallet.is there any members out there flying with emirates from gatwick end of may?

I used to fly with emirates and as you say they are now more expensive.

 

My preferred airport was birmingham as my home is in nottm as well.

 

As i live in pattaya emirates are asking £900 from bkk to b'ham.

 

I have had to try jet for my next flight at £600, but at £480 you seem to have a good deal.

The Irish Bar in Dubai airport, just beware its £9 a pint. I ordered 2 beers worked out price £18, I nearly choked on my beer.

I will be flying bhx to bkk on the 30 May. Depending on your dates, we may have the same flight Dubai to bkk.

As a Silver member i think i can get 1 guest into the bus lounge in Dubai. Free drinks and a shower is better than the Irish Bar!

 

Be aware when booking Emirates flights now, they have a two tear system, "Saver" and "Flexible" flights. Saver flights only acheives 50% air and tier miles. I was 2000 tier mls short of my gold membership, so i booked this flight just to get my gold membership. Good excuse I thought!

I have booked with emirates in the past for BKK - LGW and can never understand why it is so much more to fly from BKK than it is the opposite way !
