Personal Care Products Question

Recommended Posts

Purchased some body spray (buy one get one free :P ) from Tesco's yesterday - my Dad comes round this morning and reckons I may not be allowed 2 pack them as:

1. Security concerns.

2. Presurised container, that could explode on plane, even in suitcase.

He says if they x-ray the case, they will probably bust it open.

So does anyone know exactly what the rules are?

Thanks very much :)

As long as they are in your suitcase & put in the 'hold' it shouldnt be a problem.

Although you make need to carry a bit of make-up in your land luggage whilst in transit :P

If the UK has introduced the same LAG's (Liquid, Aerosol and Gel's) rules as Asutralia and the USA has then you may have a problem if the spray is over 100ml/gram in size and you want to take it in your carry-on luggage.

If you are at all worried about it just put them in your checked luggage. Its perfectly okay to put aerosole containers in checked luggage these days. It used to be a no no but that was years ago.

If you want info on the current LAGS rules then click here.. Its a link to the Aussie government site but the rules are the same as USA and sveral Asian countries.

This link is to the Thai Air site explining thier current rules.
