Cheap way BKK-Pattaya (150 Thai Baht)

IF you wanna go to Pattaya... take mini vans at Victory Monument only 150 Baht and it takes about 2 hours. BTW: The van leaves every hour. !!!

I just use the aircon Busses out of Ekamai station (BKK)... Cheap, clean and usually much safer !

 

Not sure what the price is now days but its relatively inexpensive.

good advice, I got ripped off 2400 bht by taxi man from soi 4 sukumvit 2 patz, he said 1200 , then he said each, 2 of us, rip off f**ker, bus from now on

I'll second this. I've taken the bus between Ekamai and Pattaya Nua many times, and I'm always impressed by how efficient and comfortable the trip is, and only 124 baht, if I remember right. You can even shave some time off the return trip to Bangkok (if you're taking the Skytrain) by getting off at On Nut BTS.
