Value for money

Guys,

I am looking for information on what you think is the best value for money for a hotel in the Central Pattaya, Soi Buahkoaw or North Pattaya Areas are. Here are the requirements.

It cannot be off the beaten path...... within 5 minutes walking distance of second road, Central(Pataya Klang) or beach road.

a quite area if possible, however a little noise is no problem however noise like around Walking Street is to much.

Price Range ...........1500B to 2100B per night

One large bed (no twin beds pushed together)

Swimming Pool... I would like one however if it does not have one, no problem.

Restaurant.......I would like one however if it does not have one, no problem.

In room safe...... a must have

I have stayed at the Areca Lodge, Pattaya Bay Resort and Pasedena Lodge before. This area is great and I would stay their again, however if possible I would like a "NEWER Hotel". These hotels had problem areas such as Areca Lodge noise from construction, pattaya bay resort a bit of a walk late night and a bit dark down this street and riding the Tuk Tuk presented a minor inconvenience.

Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

For that kind of price range you could have your pick of hotels, three spring to mind

Lk Renaissance

Tims Boutique hotel

Lk Metropole

Cannot comment on the first two, but stayed last Oct the Lk Metropole studio room 50 sq m good size room with a large fridge and a big bed :

Got the room online for 1200B a night which i think was cheaper than there walk in price

LOL Before I even looked at what you had written was going to say looks like last October!

I dount you will get a room there for 1200B though, cheapest I have ever seen was 1800 when they had an offer on, I think you were just very lucky. There is however a website that does last minute bookings and superb rates, buggered if I can remember its name now though :(

Wha's like us?

Maybe take a look at Summer Spring up near Soi 2. This is a fairly new place and will suit your budget. Pool might be a bit small though.

My Pattaya budget is perfectly adequate as long as I don't spend any of it

Tim Boutique hotel. Just off 2nd rd. between Kiss Food and The Avenue. Nice rooms, great beds, nice rooftop pool, good service. Get a room at the front of the building, they're very quiet. 1800 on Latestays.

Cheers

  • 1 month later...

Sleep in a Wat, 60 bht for mosquito repellant and forget the pool someone has pissed in it :GoldenSmile1:

Seriously, people say "In room safe...... a must have"

Please recognise that these safes are very easy to open. As an example go have a look on youtube for "Opening a safe with a potato" This is no joke, i own one of these and its now in the junk pile. The safe that are used in these hotels may be slightly different but they are easy to open. Keep your goods at reception in their safe and only use the room safe for your night time storage - when you are in the room

Just a general warning to all.

Cheers

And take care.

For 2200 bht I am staying at the Dusit great sea view an ok breakfast but right on the baht bus run and it doesnt matter which of the bus services you get they all go buy the hotel.

Snobby as hell but there is nothing better than watching the faces of the of some old rich couple all dressed up and you walk past wearing shorts flip flops and holding the hand of a bar girl.

Priceless
