If you go to Pantip Plaza in Bangkok they have the most powerful ones I have ever seen there, they get quite expensive though.

 

It's hit and miss because you could be buying a low powered laser with its output turned right up inside.... A laser like this will not last very long.

 

Something to watch out for also make sure when you buy that the spot is nice and round and focused not like the image on the left...

i am sure if you talked with a street vendor you could make some kind of deal on a few of them... i picked up a 100mW for around 2000 i think and my buddy got a 200mW for 3000... the 200mW lights matches!

I bought a powerfull green lazer last year.It is very good and I use it for tracking satilites in the nightime sky. This morning I was able to see the ISS International Space Station and used the laser pointer to follow its path

These things are all over the place ... you cant walk anywhere without someone shooting one on the floor just infront of you so that you can make eye contact with them then they can start to try and sell you one.
