just a little info on a event that happened to me at bangkok air port I was refused entry due to a torn page in my passport even though it happened on my last trip and was notified and signed by a immigration official they would not let me enter and I was sent back on the next available flight thus losing my holiday and hotel bill paid in advance with no redress to any authority so beware check your passport it is up to you to make sure it is in order.

So nothing was said at immigration when you returned home and nothing when leaving for your return trip?

Did you point this out to either official when you went through passport control?

Happened to a mate of mine last April, he was stuck at the airport, for 3 days! They did let him sort it with the British Embassy in Bangkok.

Sorry to hear that buddy.

The only issue I ever had was when I overstayed and one of the immigration officials wanted to charge me Bt17000 but thankfully the other two came up with the right amount which was Bt6000 fir a 12 day overstay, they all used calculators as well.

My advice is never overstay as it puts a black mark in your passport and too many overstays can make them not grant your visa.

I pointed it out to the official but he was adamant and made me return home he just wouldnt listen but if i had offered him a bribe maybe if would be different

Your passport is supposed to be in good condition.

What a bummer though. Maybe there was something else that they had on the computer screen.

I have not heard that one yet and it sure must have been a bad day/s for you.
