Where do have your laundry done?

Where do you get your laundry done? Last time I stayed on LK Metro and brought it to a gal who operated a laundry out a bar two doors down from Club Blu (Lk Metro). Do you know of any place which charges by the pound or by full machine load? Piece meal can get a bit expensive. I'll be staying around Soi Bukaou / Soi Diana and the Near Tukcom. Thanks in advance.

You can find someone just about anywhere in Pattaya who will pick up your laundry

and drop it off when it's done.

For one person this should be somewhere around 400 Baht a month.

No blankets and stuff though.

Near where you will be staying is soi chiapoon ,and on the right hand side walking from soi buakhow next door to NeeRoys restaraunt and opposite Crazy Daves, there is a great laundry which charges 500 baht for, I think, 80-90 pieces.I have used this place for the last 5 years and never had a problem

When in Pattaya I always take my clothes to a launfry shop that's less than a minute walk from my hotel's entrance. And they have always done a good job.

In fact there are about 3 laundry's very very close to my hotel

Best laundry I've found (though my tgf had a better one but i could never get there on my own) was right across the street from dynasty and next to Lek hotel. Very good job, great price, nice lady.

Most laundry's charge about B15 for a T-shirt, B20 for a shirt, B30 for jeans, my bill is usually B180 for a load, and you want it cheaper??? get a life, or go to Mexico for your holiday

I usually stay in flipper house, soi 7 and get my laundry done in a small place opposite the hotel. I find it a cheaper and better service than the hotel

Since my last trip, I get my laundry done at the 'shop' at the end of my GF's 'estate'. They are part of the invisible BG's housing community, but can be found behind the many bars & restaurants along the main roads. 200B for a full suitcase; jobs a good 'un.

Peace. :GoldenSmile1:

  • 3 weeks later...

I got about three quarters of my suitcase clothes washed and ironed for just under 200bht down pattaya sai song 12. A BG that went with me for collection said it was a bargin and proceeded to rattle on to the owner calling me a smart falang for going down there. But then again she could've just been giving me praise because she wanted to stay another night....She didn't get that opportunity unfortunately....smart falang indeed :x

EDIT:

In all honesty though I think most are cheap as all fuck(what's 100bht between friends), expect for the hotel washing services, the place I was staying charged obscene amounts of money(160bht for 1 pair of pants). Haha that reminds me, I brought my washing in two of thoes recyclable shopping bags, they washed and ironed thoes aswell. Now that's service!

There are a couple of places adjacent to the Sandy Springs hotel on Soi 13. I take two weeks of laundry there which includes daily underwear, socks and T shirt change, along with 5 pairs of shorts and several towels. Usually costs me 500.

If your here long term then you can find plenty of cheap laundry places, some have the machines that you pay to do your own load, if your on a short holiday then dont be such a tight arse. Otherwise go to one of the larger building complex's where mostly Thais live and you will save more than if you use one in a touristy location.

Other alternative is to buy a bucket, laundry powder and then take to the beach..........could save you some real cash this way!!!!

Not sure about the quality of the washing and ironing ...but the Porn Laundry ...on Soi Yamoto ...gets my vote ...purely for the name ... :Beer8:

I have been using the laundry next to the Sawasdee Court hotel for the past couple of years. If clothes are in early they will often wave me down late afternoon with finished laundry. Quick service and no extra charge. I was using a place on Soi Chaiphun, but they returned a load of clothes that were stained with tar. My wife was ready to kill. I am wearing one of the stained shirts as I type this.

Regards

UPDATE!!!

My GF now hand washes my clothes in the sink. Total cost 50B for some washing powder from the 711. I'm going to rent a condo with kitchen next trip so she can cook for me as well. She's actually saving me money now...sort of. :question1:

Peace. :Chokdee:
