Diana Inn Hotel

On previous visits to Pats, I have enjoyed the Diana Inn buffet breakfast, which IMHO opinion is much better than the Lek's or Apex's.

 

While researching places to stay for my forthcoming trips, I had a look at the Diana Inn's new pool wing.

I always thought the rooms at DI were a bit tired and faded, and some of the reviews on tripadvisor are pretty horific

but the rooms in the pool wing look pretty good. Large balcony overlooking the pool, with king bed, large telly, decent bathroom, spotlessly clean and ofcourse the Diana Inn location can't be beat; right on second road and baht bus route, close to shops, bars, gogos (love going to Tims beer bar to play pool) and the beach. 1650b including bf for this grade of room doesn't look to bad.

 

Anyone stayed in the pool wing care to let me know if this is worth booking?

Hi spursman,the diana cannot be faulted ,the pool rooms are very good i stayed there twice last year and have a kitchen area on balcony with a great view of pool.Rooms can be got down to about 1200 bhat which comperes well with other places.HAVING SAID THAT I HAVE JUST BOOKED AT THE ARECA FOR MARCH, i have heard good reports and it is nice to have a pool and hotel facilities.I shall report back on the areca on return.Have a good un.

NEW Pool Wing is fine. (As opposed to old pool wing - or main hotel). The hotel rooms are a bit tired and jaded but New Pool Wing is good. There is no lift so if you are up at the top it really is a pain. Good balconies and very large with view over nice pool. In November can usually get a deal inc. breakfast of around 1400 per night in these rooms. Also a great position.

Stayed here many times. Great location and a great hotel.
