BKK to Manila

Recommended Posts

I'm heading back out to Thailand in March, but I'm getting a little to comfortable with usual routines. So I'm toying with flying from thailand to Manilla or Cebu at some point in my holiday.

I know a few guys have done this before, so any advice would be appreicated.

Escpecially in regard to flight prices and where to get them.

I've been looking at the UK cheap flight sites and getting quoted stupid money like £600 for a flight from BKK to Manilla.

Are there cheap flights out there?

Is it possible to just turn up and fly cheaply? Like you can do with Interal thai flights.

I've done a little digging and found a local airline that seems to be doing them for around £250.

https://book.cebupacificair.com/Search.

Is this the right kind of ballpark?

Cheers guys.

That cebupacific flight you quoted seems way to high. I have a cebupacific flight Bangkok - Manila - Shanghai that I only paid £160 so if you're just doing bkk - manila it should be cheaper.

Does anyone with experience know if a ticket can be bought at an inexpensive price on the day of getting the airport?

It's very unlikely. Cebu Pacific tends be fully booked a couple of weeks, sometimes more, in advance

Just checked the Cebu Pacific website and I can book a flight from Bangkok to Clark flying out 14/03/10 and returning 21/03/10. Total cost 7570 baht.

If you can make it to Hong Kong, flights from Hong Kong to Manila are only £50

Cebu Pacific have a nasty habit of cancelling flights at the last minute, I've used them with no problem but never depend on them for being on time to enable onward connections. I always have a couple of days in hand.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

Philippine airlines, good price, space and comfort but the worst airline food I've ever experienced.
