FULL HD video cameras.

no point in trying to put this politely.

i'd like to get some home porn similar in quality to the creampiethais vids, but i'm guessing they use a $3,000+ camera, anyone know ?.

i've done heaps of research on FULL HD video cameras in the $1,500 range and narrowed it down to the SONY XR500 or the PANASONIC TM300.

anyone have experiance with either of these cams ?.

For the results you require, both cams will be fine but it's not just about the camera. Lighting the area you are filming correctly is just as important. You can have a Sony EX3 but still have poor quality if it's not light enough or too bright. For in room action the built in mic's should hold up OK (not as if you could stick a radio mic on anyway:-))

Also do not zoom in and out, it looks awful on TV and makes editing a nightmare. If you want close ups, go in close and don't be afraid to stop and start filming the same scene from a different angle (one close and one wide shot). These things are much better filmed by two camera men who are not part of the action. Write yourself a storyboard before hand and go through it with you partner.

Most of all, have fun.

Haven't used either of them but I picked up a Sanyo Xacti HD2000 before my last trip and have been well impressed with results. It records in full 1080P and does well in low light. The suites at the Dusit D2 are just made for porn!

I have a new appreciation for POV after trying it myself - it is damn hard to get stable footage when your fucking. I recommend bringing a second girl (if you haven't already :GoldenSmile1:) and getting her to help out.

They don't sell that model in Oz but I picked it up for $580 on ebay (shipped from HK with a 16Gb SDHC Card).

thanks, i understand the importance of lighting. i love hi-rise corner suites with two walls full of windows.

i have a trusty GIK who is happy to play cameraperson, if she doesn't have to zoom that will be a bonus. that's the age old DSLR argument about just using a 50mm lens and the "leg zoom".

some of the footage on youtube from the sony is very impressive, but all my home tv stuff is panasonic.

My camera experience is limited at best. But as I travel a lot, I wanted a easy to use camera, that also videoed in HD 1080.

I went for the Panasonic Lumix TZ7. It’s a 10 mp camera with a 57 x zoom even when video recording.

A lot lower budget, I only paid £200.

Possible not good enough for a amateur film producer, but it might be alright for you! :GoldenSmile1: 555555

It's not uncommon returning to Australia to be singled out for electronic media search if you fit the right profile

Single male, mid 30's, repeated trips to Cambodia and Thailand ... They are mainly looking for any child sex related material, but you can get into trouble if your girls look to be young.

Now, I abhor child sex, but have found that many cambodian ladies are very petite for their age (may have something to do with nutrition at a young age) and I don't want to be caught with something that may raise an eyebrow upon returning home so I upload all my naughty pics to online storage before I leave and erase them from my camera and laptop.

I'm lagging a bit behind this - been using the Sony HDR-TG3 for a couple of years.

I will echo that lighting is the be all and end all with this one - I can't show you in this area, but, with the right lighting, some stills can be impressive (better than some of my photo's lol).

I'm talking about stills captured from VDO, not the actual photo's.

wanting a smaller camera i bought a Canon Legria HF200. About AUD 750, very cheap.

it uses AVCHD compression onto a memory card.

its awful.

image quality is what i would call poor.

too much compression and interlacing problems.

and on a Mac a real pain to download from the card.

you actually have to use stupid iMovie to download it and it is converted to .mov format.

should have gone with my gut and got the Canon HV40,

its twice the price and uses HDV compression and mini-DV tape recording.

much better all round.

HDV is simply captured directly into Final Cut (and other programs).

my big camera is a Canon XH A1, more of a semi-pro camera and its fantastic of course.

anyone want to buy a little used Legria?

i will be in pattaya in July.

( i know i said it was poor, but i guess many folks would be completely happy with the image quality).

I got me a Sanyo Xacti FH1. I must say the results are quite stunning even though it is rather cheap.

Didn't really consider the "damage" 1080p does, amazing how quickly you achieve 16GB of random footage.

The 600FPS mode is utter garbage though. My mobile phone has higher resolution

Whatever camcorder you get, good lighting is the key ingredient for shooting indoor

I bought my first camcorder a couple months ago. Panasonic SD-700. The 1080/50p mode is astounding. It's very small and light and the price makes it the obvious non professional camcorder to choose.

Here is an excellent site for camcorder reviews: http://www.camcorderinfo.com/

And their ratings list is here http://www.camcorderinfo.com/ratings.php

The Sony HDR-520v will probably produce better results than my HDR-TG1E, but for me size does matter.

I want to carry a camera for impromtu moments, but I don't use a shoulder bag so I want something not much bigger than a packet of cigarettes that I can carry in my shorts pocket or on my belt.

I admit I often got better results from my old Sony Hi8 in low light. Lens size I presume.

Djzans HDR-TG7VE looks to be a derivative of mine. The only thing about mine is that it is a bit heavy for its small size. Is that one the same? It's not serious but I can't think why it needs to weigh so much.

All of the above seem to be reasonably priced now, but all are listed as former models or old stock where I looked. Maybe there's something new on the horizon.

The biggest problem I'm hoping someone will solve for me is in the editing and conversion (without losing too much) of these large M2TS files.

I've tried several, including Sony Vegas, but had little/no success. With 3-400 Gb of this stuff I need to find a solution soon.

You can download VLC media player for free and it will play it in the original format.

Another good piece of software is factory format.

What I am looking for is some software where you can edit Videos, anybody know of a good one?

editing?

there are so many programs available.

on mac i use Final Cut Pro.

Premiere (mac) is improving slowly and may be an option.

on windows:

Premiere?

lots of others i have never used.

one thing i found was its really difficult to get a good quality DVD from most available programs.

Compressor and others (mac) give really ordinary results.

best program i found to produce the final file for DVD authoring is Avid Liquid (windows) to output a VIDEO_TS file for your DVD writing program,

i use Toast (mac)to write the DVD.

its a pain coz i have to convert my .mov files into .avi, import into Avid Liquid and output the VIDEO_TS.

it takes a long time, 10x real time, but is worth the wait.

almost any DVD looks good on a CRT tv, but on a HD tv you will see poor quality very quickly.

a DVD is a very highly compressed product, so how it is compressed makes a lot of difference.

because for example, you are turning a 50 GIG (1 hour HDV) file into a 4 GIG file (approx).

www.dvinfo.net is a good forum for info.

EDGE....

why are you getting M2TS files?

your camera records HD: MPEG4 AVC/H.264 files.

how do you capture to your computer?

my Legria also makes AVCHD files and iMovie converts them to .mov when capturing.

AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) is not a high quality compression but it makes a small file so is preferred for cameras with memory cards capture.

have a look at TMPGenc (windows) programs for working with M2TS files.

M2TS (Mpeg-2 Transport Stream) files are like an original data stream and not very useful for editing in an editing program.

Storage:

just keep buying 1 terabyte hard drives!!!

you should always keep your original footage.

a DVD version of it is much lower quality and you will have quality problems if you want to go back and edit again.

one more reason why i feel much better with my original footage being on tape safely in my drawer.

sorry i don't know very much about editing on Windows comps.

Panasonic TM700. 60P HD at 1080P. Just make sure your computer is powerful and you have the right editing software.
