what to see and do? Advise, plesase

Hi board, I'v been to Pattaya a few times and everytime I say the same thing 'I will get out and about during the day to see things and go places' but you know how it is, all them bars, all the women, I just seem to be relaxing during the day.

Can anyone give me some advise on any good trips, days out etc. I really want to get some deep sea fishing in, maybe an Island or two, just see a bit more during the day really.

I'll be there in June 2010 many thanks guys, also is it easier to pjck up a girl for a week and let her show me a bit more, never really know how to ask her to stay for a dew days or how to go about the money side of things.

1st trip is a blur...2nd trip is better, on my way for my third in 5 weeks....that will be the best...i mean i am no expert, but just remember to breath coz at times them little honeys will take your breath away, amounst other bodily fluids....grab a scooter and go exploring, just take a card from your hotel in case you get lost you can get a motorbike taxi to show you the way back...just enjoy your time there, regarding picking up a girl for a week, its possible as i did that my second trip, they have knowledge on things i never thought about...it cost me 1000bht a day for her company plus food etc...get a good one and she will take good care of you if she is treated right...just my thoughts

I'm sure some of the girls could be good guides but my experience of this is that most girls know just the route between their room and their bar.

You could try the Sanctuary of truth, a very impressive wooden structure that has been a work in progress since 1986.

 

Pattaya floating market is also woth a look.

We know daytime, it's that 10 seconds in between leaving JP Bar and falling asleep on the back of the motorbike taxi.

 

 

People keep telling me there is stuff to do during the light hours but I think it's just an urban myth.

It just seems to get better and better in pattaya,been going regular since 2002,it is one very big city now.Every time you go theres allways loads ov new bars,hotels etc just opened.Went up the darkside last trip ,some good bars up that way ,if your looking for a change ov senery.

Nope, surely you're mistaken... I have noticed that the sun can be surprisingly high in the sky late at night though. That's why jesus invented curtains.

Go and see the crocodile farm - you can feed the crocs and see a madman in a show put his head between the open jaws!. Also, go to 'Silverlake.' Allegedly, it is owned by a Thai 'Superstar'. It is a magnificent vineyard about 10-15 mins outside Pattaya. Best grapejuice I have ever tasted! The scenery is breathtaking and there is a Golden Buddha on the mountainside. Both of these are cheap taxi rides and the driver will wait if you negotiate this beforehand. I think someone has already mentioned the Floating Market. Worth a look for an hour or so.

 

If you don't fancy a moped/motorbike you can hire road legal Quad bikes. I did this last time, but only for a day because they are more expensive to hire than a car! It was about 2,000 THB for 24 hours. But, it was great fun. I would kill myself on a 'proper' motorbike!

 

Regarding a girl staying with you very long time: last time I was in Pattaya I broke the golden 'three day rule' and spent all my holiday with one girl. Had a great time but there is a danger of falling in love. It was bit awkward and upsetting to say the least when I came to my senses and said there wouldn't be a chance of me and the girl having a long-distance relationship. My advice, don't go with the same girl for more than three days.

Needed a couple of day off from the bar scene and BF a TG long time. Not really into the "see attraction" thing and needed to get out of room we went to a dance acadamy, http://www.steps-and-rhythm.com/

I got to see a very different side of a BG and we ended up stying together for a week and purchased a couple of 8 hours passes more.

I agree, bill130. My friends who have never been to Pattaya are the same. The only way for them to understand is for them to walk that path.

Underwater world is on Sukhumvit heading south but is only 5 minutes from Pattaya Central.

 

Floating Market is about 15 minutes - the massage place there is good and cheaper than in there branch inPattaya - foot massage in floating market 150 baht - same girl on the evening shift in Pattaya 200 baht.

Try to avoid teh floating market on weekends - also have variable pricing - prices go up when the Chinese tour groups come in.

 

Nong nooch gardens sounds boring but is not - it is very beautifull with elevated walk ways.

In teh center where you get the elephant rides and teh tour bus thingy, there is a food court which looked OK but also a well presented "Coffee shop" with western food and pasta and spaghetti and pizza and salads that was terrific.

400 baht payable at the entrance.
