Using wifi or adsl in Pattaya/los

Could some one explain how I'd set up for using in house(hotel) wifi/adsl

 

At home I use 1 computer for the internet(dial up;-() and another for music, this time I don't want to be heading of to internet cafes and the place I'm staying at has it free.

 

The computer I will be using has not been on the internet at all and I've never used wifi/adsl so I need some help getting it set up.

 

I will load in avast, any other recommendations with firewalls/virus stompers and what else do I need to do?

first thing you need to make sure your pc/laptop has wifi capability ie built in or you may need to get a usb wifi stick! if using windows xp, you should be able to use the wireless configurationn wizrd to set it up! don't forget you'll need an access key or password to log on!
