I am going to be in Pats for 10 days in April and both hotels have a room available.

Pasadena the Classroom at 1000bth

The Irish Rovers a superior room for 900bth

What is the best choice? not just money wise but friendly staff.

Clean rooms

Wifi that works

Noice

I value your opinions, this board allready has good reviews on both...

Stayed at the Pasadena for 1 night before moving into our reserved accom in soi8. The rooms were good but the only thing I didnt like, there was nowhere to place your toiletry bag in the bathroom and the room was a bit cramped.

Havent stayed at the Rovers only because he was fully booked when we walked in before trying next door at Pasadena. But a lot of guys have and I've not seen one bad review of the place.

I stayed at Pasadena Lodge during my last visit. Room are "okay" and the staff there pretty much leave you alone. Just don't use the air-con in the room too much. Caught the worst cold/sinus infection I have had in years. While staying at Pasadena Lodge, I spent a lot of time hanging out and drinking at Irish Rovers next door. I got to know the owners Dom and Ian a little. They are great people/host and, you couldn't ask for better service. That is why I will be staying at Irish Rovers During my April/May trip. I should also mention that the bar and kitchen employees are also very helpful... Don't forget to ask about the bar crawls offered by IR's.

I looked at both places last summer. PL has a 1200 baht deluxe room which is spacious and beautiful, and you get two free days after 28. IMHO you should forget the 1000 baht room. You can't beat the 1200 baht room's ambience and layout. Rovers had a room just as large for 800 (this was the low season). PL has an elevator, Rovers doesn't. Neither accept credit cards. The safe in PL looks more secure. Both have king size beds. Like one of the previous comments, I saw on another thread complaints about the aircon and sickness at PL. I don't know how many people have had this problem. You might also want to take a look at Rockhouse and Billabong, both in the same Soi LK Metro area.

:GoldenSmile1: Have stayed at pasadena lodge twice and cant fault it.I would pay that extra 200 baht for the deluxe to be honest.Never had a problem with aircon on both visits. Also stayed at rockhouse massive rooms if you like plenty of space. The only problem that i have is that many of the guest houses around LK Metro area, the toilet are the thai type.Meaning shower is nerly ontop of the toilet,so every time the whole floor gets wet,not for me.This lets down many rooms in this area.Just my personnel opinion

The best thing about Pasadena Lodge is the smoking hot dark skinned number that works the front desk. She has an amazing body and face to go along with it.

Love those form fitting pants she wears and, she's always dressed to please the eye. I would love to have a crack at her but, I'm not willing to put in the effort/cash to

bag her. Plus, she with that french clown.

Spent a month at the Rovers back in Jan/Feb, great rooms and as Dom mentioned always plenty of atmosphere with the girls at the bar. As far as value for money and a place where theres always something happening then id recommend the Rovers. While i was there a lot of people from Passadena frequented the Rovers for a drink as it doesnt have a bar!

Cheers

Jon
