chritmas in thailand

Hi all,

 

hope you are all well,

 

i will again be travelling to Thailand with my wife at christmas time ...

 

i will be there flying in to Bangkok and staying for 3 weeks...

 

the last week is going to be another blow-out in Pattaya but i would like , this time, to visit another part of Thailand.

 

I would love to have an excellent beach (i know this is harder than it seems)

 

I have already been to Phuket so i wont be going there...

 

the beach at Phuket was O.K. but i would want a better beach if possible.

 

I would also like to stay somewhere within reach of a bit of nightlife (not too much needed since i wil have more than enough in Patta for the last week)

 

basically where would you go???

 

the accomodation i am looking for would have to be 4 star equivalent or higher (or less if there are any hidden gems which are worth checking out.)

 

please let me know your thoughts guys...
