I have booked my stay at the "Shagwell Mansions" for 1 week in march/ april 2010 http://www.shagwellmansions.com/ on Soi Arunothai, and was wondering if anyone on here has stayed there, and would like to share their experiences....i have been told it is Aussie opperated and a Pommy mate told me they are cheap and comfy...so lets have your thoughts....also if you guys can give me some ideas whats around there in the P4P scene...reataurants, bars etc....thanks in advance Rocket

Yep - This is cheap, comfy and Aussie operated. Lots of Brits stay there. No joiner fees and the staff are very friendly. Nice little pool to cool down in. Bar has a sports theme with lots of cricket stuff. Even a bat reportedly signed by Sir Donald Bradman. There are a few bars just up the street. don't expect to see any stunners. You will need to jump on a Motor Bike taxi and head for Soi 8, Soi 2 etc. About 40 Baht. You can walk to Carrefour at the top of the Soi. There you will see stunners most, will not be available.

thanks Boxerdog, just out of interest, how would you rate the ladies in this area, looks and performance wise, and do you know what the rates are on average....i have been dealing with Da over the email system during booking and have been so far impressed with everything

hi rocket ! most of the girls are average looking in the beer bars 6/10 tops ! i've only ever taken 2 girls from the bars 1 s/t paid 500 and 1 l/t paid 1000 both were excellent performance wise and real good fun ! but keep your eyes peeled as there are lots of working girls living within the vancinity ! you'll enjoy it mate im sure and if you like a beer theres a few characters in the hotel bar ! Dont know if your into your rugby league but 1 of the regulars won the premiership with manly in the 70's , get round the table with him and darcy for some great story telling !
