A mate of mine lives there and is happy (if I could live in Pattaya I'd be happy too). he found the smaller rooms a bit confining and upgraded to a 1 bedroom. also quite a few expats living there so quite good socially.

I can have this at home............................or this in LOS, thats why I go

soleil de siam is a nice place to stay, with a good location as wel.

The price (monthly) isn't high, but, you have to know, ...

they charge you twice a week for cleaning the room.

I don't remeber (it was around 400 bath for every cleaning... ??) the exact price nomore, but isn't cheap

it's 800bath a week.. So, renting a less expensive room-type from them for around 10.000

bath monthly, became around 14000 / 15000 monthly, water and electric included.

Not expensive neither, but, the extra costs wil degrade the "cheap" to "not expensive.

At the time i was there the rooms where rented for 750 bath a day... that's 22000 bath..

So, you save around 250 to 350 bath a day when renting monthly..

I stayed there late 2007 - as above when you add in electricity, water and cleaning you are looking at around 14/15k per month. Most rooms a little tired, most irratatigly they have very old floor standing a/c units that are noisy and hard to regulate.

Soleil de Siam rooms are all located on Diana Estate, so on the plus side, great location, two good pools, good security and friendly social atmosphere.

  • 1 year later...

I just spent 4 weeks at Diana-Estate. But with Diana-Oasis, another office there. Very nice new studios. All inclusive price, no hidden cost. Free good breakfast, free WIFI, free cleaning. They are very visitor friendly and their staff is the friendliest I have ever seen in a Thai hotel. They have a great young manager Meow who really cares about their guest and has assembled a good team. The owners seem to be foreigners. I stayed in one of their new studios above their restaurant. They even have LCD TV, DVD Player and more. Wanted to stay longer, but they are still fully booked. I will be back for sure. Best value for money at about 700/day. Google them and have a nice holiday. BC.
