Whats best? BKK airport to Pattaya at Midnight?

Just checking if anyone has a better suggestion than standing in the queue and paying the full fare for a taxi at midnight Sunday night from BKK airport to Pattaya? If the taxi is the best thing goin, then what's the cost ?

I just booked a month in advance with this company as I found it on the forum. As its my first time its easier to have it all arranged and someone waiting for me at the airport. Prices below. Hope its of some help.

 

Taxi(1-3people and small bag)

Airport to pattaya 1,000 bath comeback 900 bath

 

Big car(1-3people and big bag)

Airport to pattaya 1,300 bath comeback 1,200 bath

 

Minibus(1-8people)

Airport to pattaya 1,600 bath comeback 1,600 bath

I would suggerst booking ahead.

I always use Mr T Taxi which has been excellent. From recent threads, I believe he and the PT Taxi service DavidL suggested are now one in the same. There about the best rates you can expect and you will get a good car with a polite and safe driver, and they'll be waiting for you at the gate.

 

Book with them, you can't go wrong.

Taxi is the only option at that time of night, best to book a private taxi like Mr T for 1000 rather than from the taxi rank which charge 1500.

I have used Mr. Dream Transport, but I don't think he is no more available.

Mr.T Taxi has friendly and reliable drivers and @ 1000 Baht for a pick up it is a good price.

 

800 Baht for drop off at the airport.

 

When you wait for your baggage and go through immigration talk

to other guys.

 

I always find at least one person to share the taxi fare with.

if you don´t know anybody who can pick you up from pattaya, i also think a taxi would the better way.

 

but i wouldsuggest you to go inside bkk first with the new airport link and get a taxi from there. you sometimes get a beter deal there. this is my experience. went to pattaya from there for 500-600 many times already with same taxis as all the others.
