Hi Native,

Thans for the info.

Yes I stayed as well at tha Lamai Wanta 2- 3 years ago in May (900Baths), but now they put up the price to 1600 Baths. As I want to stay a month, I am looking for something cheaper. Lamai is not big , but some hotels can be a little far away (on the hillside or next to the lamai village :1 to 2km from Banhaus)

I also paided about 900 big jump. Try golden sands I used to stay there also 2 years ago they where building a pool. You can get a discount card there, they gave me one.

I checked the golden sand. The cheapest room is 2600/night. Too much for a month stay. Finaly the bloke from the baanlamai resort respond briefly to my email (room from 10000 a month electricity and water excluded), but did not mention the location. I send some other mails but I am still waiting. Otherwise the Hathai house in central lamai near the thaiboxing stadium gave you 20% discount for long stay (normal price 900 or 1000 depending on the room). All the rooms got in-room safe and there is a small pool as well.

try the website www.sawadee.com there are lots of hotels there . If you book any hotel in thailand for a month dont pay beforehand because if you get there and its a shithole or its in a crappy location then 99.9% of the time they will not give you your money back , always best to book a room for 3 or 4 days then look around for something else when your there , also when you stay in a hotel for 3 or 4 weeks you can usually bring them down on the price a little .

staying near a thai boxing stadium is a mistake just think of the noise

"And were you pleased?" they asked Helen in Hell.

"Pleased?" answered she,when all Troy's towers fell;

And dead were Priam´s sons, and lost his throne?

And such a war was fought as none had known;

And even the Gods took part; and all because

Of me alone! Pleased?

I should say I was!"

Thanks Gareth,

I have contacted the hathaihouse in Lamai. They just want me to pay 2 days in advance. If I do not like it I can go somewhere else. Neverthesless this is a new hotel with excelent reviews and people did not seem to be ennoyed by the noise from the stadium. I try to get a discount from other hotels but it is still difficult as it is high season (March) . I was quoted 21000 a month for this resort http://www.visitresort.com/ located 500 south of the Banhaus

I recently stayed at the samui coral for 1k a night. decent place, has a balcony, with a pool and access to the beach. In central chaweng, the green mango area is about a block away

Hi

Stayed in samui in 2004 at the Centara Grand Beach Resort. It was a bit pricey but worth every dollar. We hired bikes and went cruising and night did the green mango or some of the few beer bars. The place is very laid back with nice beaches and beautiful scenery and is a good stop off point if you are going to FMP.

Will be heading back again in may this year but nothing beats patts

Samui is a really cool island. Especially Lamai. It's not too freaky and it's not to quiet. The perfect balance.

And there are many hidden, layed back spots, where you can find almost anything you could Desire. And hell... There is even place for sight seeing and stuff like that. ;-)

Lamai Beach has also one of the best Tattoo Artists I know (and I know many). Already have three of his works on my skin. This May will be the fourth. :-)

I'll arrive on the 6th of May. I don't remember the name of artist, but his shop is next to the main road on the right hand between an internet cafe and a super market. His allied with some girl from Sweden. Guess there aren't that many tattoo studios in Lamai. ;)

I absolutely love Samui. I always stay in Lamai at the Lamai Inn 99. It's 1200baht and right on the beach about 100 meters from Lamai Wanta. This place is GF and has a pool too. They have a website that shows you all the stuff there.

Was there in March 08 and the beer bars had some really hot girls this year. In some years past it was a bit thin. Not too many guys, so the girls are all competing to get your business. total win/win situation. Can't wait to go back soon!

Koh samui has some really nice beaches and i would certainly recommend it to any monger who has a lady/bg and wants to relax and enjoy the beaches and scenery.

I stayed at chaweng for a week but i took a lady with me and just fucked for a week ..........very nice............but i really didn't explore much ...well not of koh samui ...............lol.

IMHO better beaches than Phuket but phukets more fun for the girls.

Enjoy.

Yup, the beaches are better. In the north you will find some beaches with only few or no farangs.

But what about the girls? You stayed at Chaweng. There are many bars, three gogos and five discos. There are countless sexy massage parlours near the U-formed area around starbucks. That's like mini Soi 6.

Although I wouldn't recommend Chaweng. It's getting crowded and uncomfortable. Lamai has countless bars and a bit outside you will find some kind of coyotee/gogo called Shark something (near the "buddy's" construction) with OMFG hot stunners.

There are also (really) closed bars with aircon, show and ST rooms. One is called "The Club", it's on the second bar complex, behind the pizza boy (which belongs also to the club).

If you want to get inside: There's a bell and a cam outside. Just ring and smile and you will be let in. That is some kind of security for guys living there, so their Missus won't find them mongering. And it's a great way to leave the pissheads causing trouble outside. :GiveBeer1:

If you want to get outside: Well.. You could try. I didn't manage... :D

There are also "hidden" bars directly on the main road, where you can have our kind of fun. There are two discos, two LB shows, one gay bar, two LB bars and countless "normal" bars.

On the road to the airport you can find a hidden Soapy place and outside of Lamai, heading southeast you can find many Soi 6 like brothels.

So during daytime you can do all the culture stuff (there is much. Samui has countless waterfalls [must already have seen six of them], temples, view points, etc...) and during night time you can be a hardcore monger. Samui isn't cheap and the tropical island has already vanished, but for sure it's far better than that soulless Phuket.

You can spend a whole week there and you won't have seen everything. Best thing you can do: Rent a bike, rent a girl who knows samui and visit places like the water buddha, stone garden or the waterfall (can't remember the name) where you have to climb through the Jungle (it is worth the trouble)....

Even better: Stay in Pattaya and get your routine done. :P

indeed nice,

Are there some low budget places to stay there?!

I will visit pattaya to see what it is like, but like clean nice beaches and like watersports and a few girly bars are also welcome.

Anyone know such a place somewhere whit not too much tourists.?!

Samui is great place to take a gal but not so great to be a monger in. Patts and BKK blow it out of the water.

I always go to Pattaya for a week or two going mental, then spend the same amount of time in Samui to chill after.

It has everything u need, good beaches, restaurants & plenty of girls.. nothing like Pattaya tho.

We always stay in Chawang & hire motorbikes for our stay so u can travel round the island during the day.

Nightlife is normally spent on soi mango in the centre or round the back near the lake at all the beer bars.

Have Fun!

I visited Koh Samui this past February and stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. I can say that the beaches are nice and very clean but in my opinion it's a good place to take some entertainment. I had my TG with me and it was cool. I'm thinking about visiting again next month just to break the "madness" of Pattaya. Overall, nice place to visit!

I was in Samui in March 2009, I only saw 2 gogos in Chaweng, both very tame, non interactive, nothing like Pattaya, actually Phuket gogos can be more wild.

There are a number of BBs the ladies tend to be older then you see in Pattaya or Phuket.

Samui is beautiful, quiet, and relaxing with really good watersports but if you need lots of nightlife, i would not come to Samui..

Here are some photos from my trip:

Samui is not a big BB/GOGO scene, but it is a lovely place to visit, with lots of great restaurants and bars. I would take a girl from Patts, BKK or Phuket personally. While I was there, I went to Chaweng to the gogos, there were some pretty girls there, but basically it was like a fishbowl (or Angelwich in Patts) girls dance (more like stand next to the pole and sway, very little eye contact) on stage in the middle, you sit around the stage on risers and if you see a number you like, you tell mamasan... but the girls were very non interactive, they sit there for a LD and the scoot the second they finish it if you do not order another. Also when I was there the gogo girls wore bikinis strictly, no free peeks or "forgetting of the panties for these babes. The BBs were fun, by older ladies I meant upper twenties to upper thirties, so still very nice and attractive ladies (not senior citizens or anything lol), probably about 5 years on the average older then Patts. Samui is like Phuket, prices are definitely higher, girls look for 1000+ ST and 2000+ LT and are hesitant to negotiate down unless things are super slow.

I am a very very hansum man, just ask any of the BG's I have BFed!!!
