just curious has anyone stayed at the Flipper Lodge? Trying to find a nice spot with a high rise, so i can be on the balcony when they fireworks go off

the pool is on the roof top about 8 floors high & has a beach view.

the nice rooms in high season are about 1500 baht & it ok but not of any great standard.

it is a mongers hotel in soi 8 just near beach road so it has a great location if you want to monger on down.

I have stayed there many times in the past but for the same money pattaya has top rooms 2 blocks back.

last time i stayed there they where doing building work,so when i had alate nite ,i could not sleep from the noise,good hotel for location lots of action about,have fun when u go.

Stayed there at my first trip.. No complaint, Nice staff very pleasant..

Stayed and liked it. good location you can get in and out from beach rd hardly noticed. Before that I was up the Soi at sunshine plaza, Walk in or out any direction, you know they are talking about you, you butterfly.

I stayed here April 2008 in one of the refurbished rooms. The room didn't have one of those small showers beside the toilet for your ass which was a fecking pain. Especially has there was only a fixed shower on the wall which meant having a full shower after a dump :( Also the only internet was a few computers in the lobby which you had to pay for and were very slow and sometimes not working. Apart from this the location and staff were excellent. Does anyone know if the internet problem has been sorted and whether all the refurbished rooms don't have a mini shower for your ass? I would stay here again during my next trip in March if the ass shower thingy was sorted. It is a great loccation apart from a short timer i always took from the bar next door was never happy seeing me with other girls.

Yeah seriously, its hard to go back to the paper-only system once you've gotten used to using the bum sprayer. Helluva lot cleaner and, as stated, really a necessity in the heat and humidity of LOS. Sucks that Flipper doesn't have them. I hate it when hotels aren't equipped with them, seems like a lot of newer hotels leave these out now.

 

General thumbs up for Flipper Loge though, haven't stayed since the remodel, but I even liked it before. Staff and location are both great in my book.

Just goes to show. One man's meat and all that. Have stayed at Flipper Lodge 3 times when I first started going to Pattaya with my mates 10 years ago and did not know any better. Have had one of the only 4 suites on each occasion. Even after 3 years they had not fixed the problems with bed-side lights that I complained about on first trip. Some of the older rooms are like cells with the only view - a air-con unit for next door hanging right outside the window. Have not been in the new part- if now open as I found many many better hotels.

I would not recommend the place in all honesty to anyone. It is ok if you have not been to Pattaya before and don't know any better. There are far better places.

I fully agree that the bum hose is the cat's meow. I hate it when a hotel leaves it out when they build or remodel.
