Sabai Inn

During my recent stay in Thailand, I did two separate stints in Pattaya. The first one I stayed at my regular place, the Sabai Inn, and my second stay, I moved to Soi 8, at the Eastiny Inn, which I have also reviewed here.

 

In general, I prefer the quieter location on Soi 2 of the Sabai Inn, and I consider it to be excellent value in 1200 Baht/nt range.

 

Main strengths: Huge rooms with comfortable beds, In Room Safe, friendly honest staff, free afternoon tea and pastry service.

 

Issues: no pool, but you can use the excellent pools of the Sabai Lodge across the street. No Restaurant, but the Sabai Lodge's Sala Thai restaurant is good, and is 15 feet away from the Sabai Inn. Breakfast is not included in the room rate.

 

Location is away from most action on Soi 2, but there are Baht buses running all of the time. Also, the Big C mall is very conveniently located nearby.

 

It's Guest Friendly for one lady, two or more might be an issue, I didn't try it.

Sabai Inn has been my accommodation of choice for about 2 years. It is very professionally run and I love the location. Step outside the front door and you rarely wait more than a minute for a Baht bus to take you down Beach Road. But it has the advantage of being better value being a bit further away from the action.

 

Big C is a couple of minutes walk, plenty of beer bars at the top of the soi (including Atlantic), Classroom agogo also at the top, Honey Pot coyote just down from Classroom, plus an excellent and reliable laundry (A1) a few metres away in the Beach Road direction.

 

Should also mention that bed linen changed daily and the beds are huge.
