Hey Guys,

Around March next year I want to bring my TGF over for a holiday. Now I've sorted out visa's to the UK before and it's relatively straightforward, but this time I'd like for us to visit France and Spain too - has anyone ever done this and if so what's the best way to proceed?

You will require a Schengen visa which covers all of the relevant countries.

You must apply for a schengen visa at the embassy that you will be spending the most time in.You need to produce complete intinary of hotels prepaid in advance, travel tickets and show that you have travel insurance. You must also show that you have ample funds to support your living expenses too. If you are married you need to give your marriage certificate and passport and Schengen visa issued Gratis if UK citizen.

I did one for my Filipina GF year and half ago when went to visit Rome,Italy.

Applied at Italian embassy,Manila and visa issued 2 weeks after submiting the application.

You will also find that the Schengen visa issued is just long enough to cover your trip, ask for a multiple entry visa when submiting documents.

My Filipina GF and I travelled to Rome for 5 days and spent 2 days in Amsterdam as went via KLM from Manila.

Technically yes you should enter via the country that issued the visa however we have travelled straight to other countries without visiting the one that issued it.

But that was our choice entirely stick by the relevant RULES and travel into the issuing country first.
