Agoda & Eastiny Residence - Warning.

OK so I booked into the Eastiny Residence via Agoda.com for 1,100 THB giving a saving of 500 THB

 

except you dont get any savings. Let me explain.

 

Agoda charge about 200 THB for some made up 'tax' then when you arrive the hotel charges a 300 THB per day joiners fee per lady for doing f**k all.

 

So you end up paying full price anyway. Joiners fee does NOT apply to non internet bookings (1,600 THB).

 

So bring back over 1 girl and you actually lose money.

i booked mine with Agoda becuase i couldnt get the hotels website to work for me , and Agoda accepts pay pal .. did you book a double room ( two people ) it was the same price and i understand that you will notbe charged for bringing any one back that way ..it actually worked out a little chepaer( ony 10 bucks or so i think ) than my friend who did manage to book it through the website ..by the way 200 baht is about 6 bucks

Afraid to say when you show up they will want 300THB per girl.. I booked a double room but that makes no difference. Even if I make up a 'fake' guest then they still want 300THB unless the girl checks in with you. I explored all the options.. trust me...

 

Yes I know we aren't talking about a lot of money but I would have chosen a different hotel for 1600THB.

 

I'm quite happily sitting here in the LK Royal Suites having secured a room for very little extra over the Eastony and NO JOINERS FEE!

The Tax is paid on ALL hotel bookings!!

 

Cant see why blame Agoda for the joiners fee!!

 

Did you book for two people on Agoda? They always offer that option but you have to accept it.

 

You booked Double ROOM - you must book double OCCUPANCY - thats the same with all the higher end hotels. This is an issue with Eastiny not the booking agent. They do this whether you book direct or any agent.

book with the hotel directly and do it with email, always ask for promotions before doing the final booking.

have had better rates then Agoda everytime i did.(eastiny7 in my case)

 

"All rates are exclusive of tax and service charges" quoted directly from Agoda.

maybe in the excitement of booking you forgot to read the fine print

I have stayed at Eastiny residence many times the most recent was in June this year and neither myself or my friends paid extra for bringing back girls to our rooms.

We all paid about 1,000bht per room but we did not book through Agoda.

I think it’s not fair to blame Agoda for that because

 

- Before you press the final submit button, Agoda states clearly the room rate, taxes / surcharges and the total amount.

If you felt not happy with the total amount, you should have simply cancelled the procedure.

 

- I asume that you booked a SGL room or more likely a DBL room for single occupancy.

Agoda is a very professional online agent and cannot be held responsible for additional fees implemented by the hotel.

Agoda sells simply bed and breakfast. Additional fees (if not explicitly stated as FREE on Agoda’s hotel description) e.g. for joiners, internet use, pay TV, etc. have to be paid directly to the hotel.

 

To avoid similar surprises in the future, I suggest to ask the hotel directly about their joiner policy BEFORE booking through any agent.

Make your Booking threw Eastiny's Website,Never had a problem booking direct from the hotel,but make sure you put 2 persons. In the passed I have had a hell of alot of trouble with Sawadee.com

i stayed at eastiny residence in soi 10 is that the same place ??

it cost me 1050 bht till november 10th . no joiner fee no problem,we walked in in off the street as we where stayiny in another hotel.had different girls everyday my son allso stayed in another room. he did the same.
