Hi everybody,

my plane will touch down at Bangkok Airport at 13:05 somewhere in December.

My question is the folowing: do you guys think that will give me

enough time to get the bell bus at 14:00? I am kind of on a budget so I do not

wanna money on expensive cab rides.

Thx for your answers in advance

Easy, unless there is a big line.......

I bet you 20 baht you make it

Bet you 20 thb he doesn't :EvilLaugh1:

Doable I think but quite tight (sounds like a little bar girl I know!)

At least it's not the last bus so can always go and have a coffee and chill for a bit.

My Pattaya budget is perfectly adequate as long as I don't spend any of it

I reckon you should make it. All depends on how long the queues are at immigration.

If not, then you could catch the next one at 1600hrs.

The time you indicate gives very little time to get the bus you indicated. There are several busses that leave from the ground floor (around Gate 8). The schedule includes:

To Pattaya: 7:00 a.m, 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. (124 Baht) see: www.airportpattayabus.com

To Bangkok: 4 different routes: Sukhumvit is the AE3 bus, Victory Monument is the AE4 Bus. Busses to Silom, and andother place that I cannot recall at this writing. see:

As already said. The problem are the queues are at immigration. (Passport control)

This month I waited once for 40 minutes and once for 20 minutes.

The queues have almost the some length. (That is normal, isn't it?!)

But at some counters there is only one person working and at others two.

So be clever and find yourself a queue with two officers working there.

And my advice would be: look for a female officer.

My impression was that the female officers work more efficiently than their male colleagues.

Normally You should make it in time.

Assuming your flight is on time, and you're speedy getting to the Immigration desk you'll be

able to make the 1400 bus with time to spare.

In my experience the Bell bus departures are usally at least 15 mins late - they're always looking for stragglers :Pervert:

Tell us how you get on.

Good luck !

Make a friend on the flight or in immigration/customs line and share a share a cab if your bus timing looks off.

Keep that open as a compromise on expense and time. Plus, a stop for beers on the way of course!

When leaving Thailand from the airport allow at least 1.5 hours to get thru immigration because it took me 1.2hours to get thru causing me to miss the bloody plane. Big line up so much for the better service only acouple of immigration officers working and about 400 people if not more in the line, make things worse they would not let me out of the airport because i was on my 30th day of my visa and had to wait in the airport for another flight which took 24 hours what a bitch..

If possible, travel with hand baggage only - that will give you some extra time for Immigration queuing if necessary.

NOT a chance IMHO. IF the plane is on time, landing at 13:05, you can almost count 15 to 20 minutes to taxi and deplane. Add the walking time just to get to immagration, will probably only give you less than 30 minutes to get though immigration.

55 minutes to land, taxi to gate, disembark, walk to baggage collection...wait..., walk to Immigration...wait...and then find Bell Bus (assuming your first trip). And that is if the aircraft lands on time ! Their website states that they will allocate previously reserved seats to waiting passengers if unclaimed at least 10 minutes before departure of the bus. Now make that 45 minutes to clear everything. Highly unlikely in my opinion.

When I was there last Nov, my plane was scheduled to arrive at the airport at 11 am and I had the Bell bus scheduled at 12 pm. I ran from the plane to the customs before large lines could form. The baggage claim was just outside customs, as was the money exchange. I ended up getting to the 1st floor waiting area at 11:30am.

Edit: delete 'customs', insert 'Immigration'. The sequence is: Immigration (queue)-collect baggage(queue)- customs (very rarely a queue).

I stand corrected. Yes, it may have been "immigration" but there was not much of a queue if you get out of the plane fast and rush to the desk. I did it last Nov. and managed to get to the Bell waiting area so quickly, I had to wait over 30 mins to board the bus
