1 Bed Apartment 12th Dec - 30th Dec

Hello a friend of mine is so infatuated with all my tales of pattaya he's booked a flight to come here on the dates mentioned. No offence to him but i dont want to share a room with him as he's a dirty bugger and i don't want to listen to his antics. I was looking for a 1 bed apartment or similar for these dates. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've told him he's picked the worst time in the world to come but he's all booked up. We'd be looking for something not to far from town. Just being on a baht bus route would do. As mentioned all help appreciated. thanks.

Why would you have to share a room with him, anyway?

Is he saying you book him somewhere? Cause, as you say its the worst time to come without any sort of confirmed booking, so his choices are going to be limited to mainly either high end (read expensive) or low end (read roach hotels)

Have you tried the usual suspects like Agoda, Latestays etc?

Sorry hedonist i think it's the scotsman in me. I was thinkign that he could share a room with me in the hotel but that just wouldnt work would it? I think he's just gonna have to be like everyone else and book his room himself. I thought it would be cheaper for us to share a place but have 2 rooms in the place. We'll just have to sort something out. Its a bugger as i will have been here one month myself by then and i think i'll have to leave the country by air to get the 30 days extention. I did go to the thai consulate in glasgow before leaving and i got some kind of 90 days visa. From what i can gather though i will still have to leave the country after 30? nah that doesnt sound right. the lady told me i would have to leave and come back in. Its a tourist visa and it says its good for 3 journeys. sorry for going off topic here.

Nope. Sharing a room dont work out. Been there done that, got the t-shirt.

Best thing to do is tell him it will be cheaper for him to book something before he leaves

A horrible situation awaits you if you are not too careful, cause it looks like he is leaving it upto you to find him his accomodation...right?. He is looking at around 2000 a night, given the dates you gave ( i just put them through Latestays)

Thats without any bollox like compulsary Christmas banquets that some hotels impose.

He MIGHT strike lucky at one of the lower end places towards the far end of Walking Street, though. Right Spot Inn comes to mind...or even the Jasmine on Soi BJ. But they will be grubby to say the least. But i would get HIM to do his own digging around, tbh
