What should have been an enjoyable night out on Loi Krathong on November 2, for a baht bus driver and his wife in Pattaya turned badly sour as, after the festive celebrations, the couple got into a heated argument, resulting in the wife stabbing her husband. The fight was apparently over sharing a blanket. The wife was subsequently arrested and was charged with murder.

 

Pattaya, November 4, 2009, [PDN]: After being notified of a murder in an apartment in Soi 2, Thepprasit Road, late on the night of November 2, a police team was sent to investigate by Pol. Lt. Col. Sanae of the Pattaya Constabulary. Arriving at the incident location, police went to a room on the Fifth Floor where they found the dead body of Mr. Samreung, 51. A baht bus driver, lying on the floor covered in blood, also in the room was his wife, Ms. Tawiporn, 39, displaying minor injuries.

 

Upon being questioned by the police, Ms Tawiporn related that she and her husband had gone out to celebrate Loi Krathong on Pattaya Beach, but the mood of the evening had deteriorated the more they drank. Going home, Ms Tawiporn further said that they were not really on speaking terms and had gone to bed, both the worse for wear after their heavy drinking bout.

 

The night being cold, Ms Tawiporn continued, they had put a blanket on the bed, but rather than sharing it amicably, the couple had got into an argument. The argument then intensified to the point where her husband had slapped her round the face. In retaliation, Ms Tawiporn confessed, she had grabbed a knife and plunged it into her husband, who subsequently died from his injuries. Ms Tawiporn was duly arrested, charged with the murder of her husband and will be held in custody until she goes to court to face trial.

What makes me mad, is that you can always see a list of errors, just like when planes have accidents, its usually a list of errors.

 

1. One, if they were pissed off with each other and they were drunk, they should have slept separately

2. He shouldn't have slapped his angry and drunk lady

3. There shouldn't have been a sharp object around, most people stab by impulse, a few barriers in the way would have given her time to think
