downloading you tube video ?

I have been pissing around with different programs for the last hour with little sucess

 

at best i can get a video of shite quality

 

any suggestions

Personally, I prefer to keep it simple . . . Firefox and the DownloadHelper addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006.

Ditto on Downloadhelper (DWhelper), if you are a Firefox user, it is a free plug-in and works great, both in downloading and conversion. And...it queues nicely, you can go from youtube video to youtube video (or other more salicious videos) and download them in a queue. It even has a long list of streaming video sites built in and you can search on them, sort them, by name, quality, ratings, etc...this includes XXX sites.
