Suvannakhet?

Went for a visa stamp in laos, wound up going through mukdahan into savannakhet!

Tuk tuk to the hotel areas was 150 baht, hadnt got kip yet!

Found it a little expensive compared to thai, hotels were so so and air con was weak.

nice views on the mekong and a nice little boat resturant on the river,

average priced and very good clean food. Saw a swedish friend of mine from kantharalak

there! He was up to date with the lady scene which is apparently cheaper, and choice

of laos/thai, or vietnamese ladys, mostly disco/karaoke bound or street walkers.

For the record you can get double entry tourist visas if you say the right thing

nice and quietly. A lot of little kids begging , some with lice infested hair(saddening)

but nice to see they dont take food , only cash :Grin_Jump1: , momma and pappa teach well!!!!

all in all an easy way to spend a day or two waiting for your visa stamp, i wouldnt go

for kicks though!...............shamus........... :GoldenSmile1:

Interesting information, thanks. I have been to Mukdahan several times but never across the river from there.
