Selina Place at Pattaya Soi 9/South Pattaya and 3rd Rd.

Hi all,

does anyone have any experience with rooms at Selina Place

I have been in touch with them, second guests are allowed and the rooms look clean.

It is a bit of the beaten path on Pattaya Soi 9, which is at Pattaya South and 3rd Street. Would be a wee bit of a walk

to the heart of the action, then again there are the baht trucks and taxis.

I know that, coz I was in Tycoon place where is opposite of selina.

as far as their URL, the room is clean, however, no swimming pool.

this area is very quiet at night too.

I used to walk to Tuk com and buakhao, and walking-street as well.

Looks like a nice place and cheap too. I would be interested to stay there if there was a possibility to swim in a pool.

Some nice rooms. Price for the month is good. A wee bit away from WS. but a baht bus away.I put that one on my saved file for future reference...Doorman!

Was there last year to check their room, OK standard, but not more. A little dated IMO even it's not old building.

Bath bus outside 24/7 so no problem with location, although quiet I would not call Pattaya tai and Third road intersection

 

You should check how much they charge for Electric per unit - normal rate in Pattaya is B7 per unit.

If my memory serves me right they asked B10 per unit last year - check it.

It would be greaat if you take some photos as there photos are pretty basic and probably old, as stated the arte for water and elec is a bit higgh considering the Gov rate is 5.5 per unit anyway let's see your feedback.

Have friend staying there right now it is very good in his opinion. I am staying at Tycoon place which is also very good value for money. Tycoon place lets visitors use their pool for 50 baht a day. They are building a new hotel (tycoon place 2) near there now so some construction noise during day light hours but nothing too excessive so far.

Ok, i wont be staying at the Selina after all. I found cheaper accomodation at Soi LK.

 

Anyway, maybe we can get an update at the prices for tycoon place?

 

Do they still only have internet by cable at the tycoon?

 

And what is there email or phonenumber. the old tycoon site is not up anymore, and no one

answers email or phones.

 

So any updated info for tycoon would be appreciated. Im planning on going back there in january.

Prices are the same as have been for last two years. 9000 baht per month (9500 high season)+ 350 baht for water + electricity @ 7 baht per unit.

The daily rates are still 700 baht low season and 800 baht high season so unless you are staying for three weeks or more it is not that cheap.

They have cable internet that is three times faster than wireless internet so I prefer it over wireless.

Note they are building Tycoon Place 2 across the street so in January they may be open, don't know if they will have wireless internet in the new building or not.

why you not tell where you stay , what you pay for the room , maybe that can help others to find a nice cheap place.

I going in november deceember and staying 29 days , still looking for a cheap decent place

Im not sure that the email works, because last time i got a mailserver reply, that the adress didnt work, and no one ever answers the phone when i try to call these numbers. The mobile phone number is the same as the one that was on the website before it went down, and its missing an 8 after +66.

 

I hope they will put an effort in an make a new website soon. Otherwise i will be glad to help them for a fee :-) feel free to tell them.

My friend lives at Selina Place (for 2 years and I lived there 6 months) he says the construction noise is bad and wakes him up at 8:30 every day except Sundays. At night there is a Issan night club that starts playing music at about 9pm every night which is loud and can be heard if you sit out on the balcony or open your door, it gets annoying after a while. The management is good and it is a well maintained property, but no pool or fitness, the location is ok about 10 minutes to WS if you walk.

i will be staying at Selina Place from 23 December . Will give an update of how the accomodation etc. was when i get back from Pattaya .Seems to be ok from the website pics , and they allow guests in the rooms .

Stayed at Selina Place in December 2011 , place is actually very nice with good service .

A bit far away from all the action but if you want a clean room with laundry and some peace as well , no problem.

They allow guesrs in the rooms .

Breakfast at their coffe shop not bad if you like to eat eggs and bacon 555

Queen of Pattaya recently posted a tour on YouTube.

Prices were stated as 500 per night 6000 per month. Seems insanely cheap.
