Surin Airport

Hello,

 

It's been a good 2-3 years since i have been to Surin and i am considering a short trip next time i come back to LOS.

 

Are there any plans to reopen the airport in Surin ?

 

 

I have taken the bus a few times (Prasat) and have flown into Buriram (BFV) once.

The bus was ok, but eats up too much time for a short trip.

The flight to BFV was great, YS-11 with a good view, but i would still have to get to Surin (the city) from there.

 

If i could fly directly into Surin, I would probably go for it.

There are 'plans' to reopen Surin Airport.

It was announced in the press a few months ago, but since then PB Air have stopped flights to Satuk,Buriram (BFV) due to thier new planes late arrivals.

So to answer your question, I'd forget about flying to either Satuk or Buriram in the near future.

NOKAIR have taken over from PBAir but flying not from Swampy, but Don Meung to Satuk. Got some good deal going, 2 for the price of 1!
