hi all going back to thailand in dec ,going with qutar via doha long stay there 7 hrs is there a hotel or something there werre u can get some kipp cheers all;

When we 1st went with them, we booked places in the Oryx Lounge at Doha airport

Not the greatest lounge i have been in, and the chairs weren't conducive to a decent sleep, but there was free food on offer (small help yourself arrangement, and not that good tbh) and a limited supply of alcohol.......you had to ask for it as it wasnt on open display. Cost was £28 and we were able to book it in Manchester. No such luck in Bangkok for the return flight though, so we just did it at Doha.

The second time, i headed out on my own, and had a shorter stopover (thank fuck) and went into the "quiet room" next to the prayer room. Seats THERE were far better for a kip, but you had to be lucky to get one of them. I suppose it depends on your flight times.

Qatar great airline. Doha airport = shit! It really is that bad? yes!
