Recommendations for repair

Odense

Recommended Posts

I have a Lenovo s10 netbook and the left shift key has become pretty erratic.

It has to be pressed slowly and firmly in order to function - so lots of times I miss it and I have to go back an correct to caps. That is very annoying so I am considering to get it fixed.

I would like to get recommendations to where in Pattaya I can get it fixed and - if possible - a guesstimate to the price.

Wattana(pattaya klang across from foodland) worth checking.

Pattaya2go does a lot of business to mixed reviews in Tukcom-worth a try.

Top floor of Tukcom has a large service business that I have found to be ok

Is it still under warranty ?? guessing not , but first rule is to check the obvious first.

How technical / hands on are you ?? How old is the laptop ?

If your not a hands on DIY type of person then the suggestion of Watana opposite food land is a good one.

It is better to light even one candle than to live in fear of the dark.

Thank you guys - technically the 2 year warranty should still be OK - it is from January - but in reality the two year warranty was always BS - after the first 6 month the burden of proof is on the customer and how do I prove that I didn't type with a hammer.

I should be able to do it myself - but frankly if Wattana is reasonable priced I would rather pay them to do it :GoldenSmile1:

i have a lenovo also .. you can do it yourself easily .. just lever off the key with a small flat screwdriver or something .. dont worry they just pop off like prestuds! then clean underneath it with a soft toothbrush or something, then press the key back on!

O you who turn the wheel and look to windward, Consider Phlebas, who was once handsome and tall as you.

Thanks - I MIGHT give it a go :)

I did - and no - it does not look like I thought it would - is your Lenovo also a netbook ?

When I "pop" a key on my Ideapad s10 it looks like there is a kind of sealed keyboard under the keys - not really a place where the dirt is collected
