Guys,

How to choose between Flipper House and Flipper Lodge?

Building A or buliding B?

Standard or Delux?

Bloody hell, to many decisions lol.

Cheers.

I feel you friend for I had the exact same dilemma and nobody helped me. On a suggestion I finally made reservation at the Flipper House but still not sure if I made the right choice. One thing is for sure, the Lodge is closer to the beach i.e. Beach Road while the other is up on soi 7 close to 2nd Road. As for which building - I would go for the more $ for it must be newer but it's only a hunch as well...

I'll be there from 21 November.

I'm leaning towards House. Other reviews have suggested its a little quieter and judging by the pics, rooms in building A have tiled floors - not a fan of carpets, always give of that musty smell.

Still, it seems much of a muchness.

flipper house has a great flippin pool, and cheaper, and does 5 for 6 day deals outside peak season. flipper lodge flippin close to the beach, nicer restraunt! i flippin like both but no loom safes and no wifi sends me over to the flippin eastinies.

I stayed at the flipper lodge 3 times up until 2 years ago when they increased the rate from 880 baht a night to 1280!!! They would not budge even though I was a "regular", and I was stayin for 5 weeks!! So ever since I have stayed @ Siam View Residence, 18500 a 31 day month (about 550 a night) and its unbeatable. Roof pool/cleaned every day/3 min walk top Soi 6...Family Mart/Jamesons Irish next door for Guinness/cheap laundry/"all services massage ....Should I continue?? It is Lodge with the rooftop pool by the way.....

Flipper house near beach ,the rooms seemed a bit bigger

Flipper Lodge a few minute walk up soi from beach.

Both places very popular ,and girl friendly.Moved rooms in both places.

eg in lodge got room no bath when i had booked a room with bath.

Room in house was very noisy ,due to beer bars.but both are surrounded by beer bars.

enjoyed flipper lodge , but that might be the company i had in the lodge.

Stayed at House last year, and at Lodge in May this year. Both are IMO good value hotels with good security. Safe boxes are behind reception, which limits the time you can use them, and they don't have wifi ( not that I needed it ).

The Lodge does have pool, in fact it was refurbished this summer. As with House, it is on the roof.

My room was in the new bit (nearer Beach Rd), and was very clean. Also had walk in shower which I like (no bath). Didn't find the noise a problem at all.

Personally, I would have liked a balcony, so for October, I am booked into PBR.

Cheers

Now I remember and think I fucked up - there's no wifi but in the Lodge you can pick up the signal from Beach Road. So this means that in the House I cannot use my laptop. Also I wasn't aware of the no balcony situation, which kind of sucks. Someone also told me that the house has the better pool, so this is true or not?

flipper house pool is cool .. not sure now with the building work though. If you want free internet and balcony and nice pool on soi 7/8 you should maybe try eastinies ..

Me too but here's what I did: first week I already had reservation at the Flipper House so for the second week I took a superior at Eastiny 7. It might be foolih for there's always something available there but $31 is hard to beat and that's what they go for at Agoda. We'll see...

Stayed at Flipper Lodge (Soi 8) a few weeks ago. I thought it a good hotel for the price. I had the deluxe seaview room (the added expense was nominal) and the room was plenty nice for me as was the rooftop pool. The only drawbacks were, as mentioned above, the lack of wifi and an in-room safe. If those are important to you (they are to me), I would book elsewhere. If not, Flipper Lodge, considering price, quality and location, is tough to beat.

i too have stayed a flipper lodge.

Great location, but can be very noisy due to the beer bars music.

Flipper Lodge without doubt is the best.
