Hi All

Just want to get some feedback from BM about the best best guesthouse you stayed in and why you liked it? Thinking of a couple of places from Nov 11-21 2009, but haven't made up my mind on where just yet. So where have you stayed/what made it a nice place/cost/no joiner fee/location. What say you all??

I found Malee Bar/Restaurant on Soi Honey to be good value for money - decent room with free wifi & good location, plus the Thai food is really good. Only problem I had was the aircon broke one night, which made morningfternoon sex with the cute GG I'd taken back impossible to complete (we tried our best but just got too hot & sweaty). They had someone out to fix it the same day once we reported it though.

Sitting here now in this bar for hours,

whilst strange men rent strange flowers,

I'll be picking up your petals in another few hours...

difficult too say as everyone of us has different needs and wishes but http://www.baboonabeach.com/home/index.html has really nice rooms for a decent rate. Maybe something for you????

A good girl gives you happiness and a bad girl gives you experience both are essential in life so enjoy every girlfriend!

It is a little difficult to say because people look for different things. I stayed at two different places while I was in Pattaya, and I was looking for the cheapest place but still pretty nice. I stayed on two places on Jomtien Soi 12. Some people may think this is too far from Walking Street, but I don't think it is unless you plan on short timing several girls and taking them back to your place in the same night (is this even possible, or is short time always in the establishment? I never did it so I'm not sure). Otherwise, it really isn't that far as long as you aren't making multiple trips to Walking Street in one night. I like being a lit further away too because there are less tourists out that far on Jomtien (way less than on Pattaya Beach) and less hawkers, beach girls, etc. So it is a nice peaceful spot to rest away from the craziness of BKK or the insanity of Walking Street. It is a good place to re-energize for a long night.

I forget the first place I stayed - I think it may have been called Jomtien Guesthouse or something, but it was right next to the second place that I'm going to talk about more. The first place was nice, pretty clean, nice rooms, free wifi and all. It was pretty business-like: meaning, it didn't seem like a little shady ma and pa business. Never brought a girl back there since one of my traveling partners had brought a bargirl from BKK with him and that would have been ... awkward and probably caused fights.

The place I liked more, and would recommend, is Thai-Swiss Guesthouse on Soi 12. The Sarita Hotel is near the entrance to the Soi and is pretty noticeable. Thai-Swiss is a little ways back on the street though. I don't know if I saw any other customers while we were there though I think there was another one or two (it was during the pretty low season though). They never gave us a problem for bringing girls back with us. I think my traveling buddy said they looked at him a little disappointed once when we brought a new girl home after having a GFE experience with another for a few days, but that was no real problem. It was 500B a night for a good sized room (a good deal bigger than a double in BKK) with two beds. I think a single was 400B. Free wifi. Cheap, fast laundry. I think you could rent motorbikes relatively cheap, but I didn't. Friendly staff - mostly an older Thai man and lady or two around, though they don't speak much English. Don't be put off by it being Thai-Swiss if you aren't Swiss. I am American and didn't feel weird at all. I think the owners are just Swiss. I am pretty sure there was a TV there too, but I don't really remember watching it. A good fridge and security box as well. That is about all I can think of.

If you don't like this place, there are about 4 or so guesthouses on this street. None seemed to really have any business while I was there (Around early June). There are a lot of places for foreigners, especially Russians and Europeans, on the lower Sois on Jomtien, but not many people venture out to Soi 12, so it is nice and peaceful. Oh, and it isn't hard to get to Walking Street or anything. A songtauw (don't know how to spell this) is 10B to Walking Street and 20B back per person - though people may occasionally try to rip you off. Also, don't get on the one that is doing the big loop, if they charge 100b or more, you are probably getting on the wrong one and going to have a very long ride.

Anyways, I really recommend these places. They are cozy, convenient, comfortable, and restful. A good way to have the party of Walking Street, but some peace and privacy to get away from it...well, maybe you will bring a little of the craziness back with you. I know I did most nights.

Great nicely furnished room Few steps from walking street and quiet soi 14. The owner danny a young dutch guy (and the girls working there)did lots of things for me when i slipped broke my hip and was hospitalized for example lending me his own laptop and just visit and call to see if i need anything.

But very importnent is the room/price and location

They charge for electricity even though they only rent daily? Most places charge electricity for monthly rate.
