These are illegal with nicotine in Australia. I assume because the Tobacco companies lobbied against them as they don't like the competition.

These are available on the internet. You can buy a starter pack, which contains the cigarette, some filters/nicotine packs and a charger.

 

When you inhale, something (not sure what) atomises the nicotine, which you then inhale. You only breath out water vapour. As you inhale, the tip glows red.

 

Used one for a laugh on an EVA flight last year, and the Taiwanese trolley dolly didn't know how to react when I showed her it was plastic. I think she jumped out because I didn't see her again in the flight!!!

 

Not sure if they have been approved by any Governments yet.

 

They actually work well. You get your nicotine "stimulus" without any of the other nasty chemicals that are in fags like cyanide and tar for example, so apparently they are a lot more healthy.

the nicotine hit is nowhere near a cigarrete - maybe about half as good, paid £60 for mine and dont really use it anymore .. you can smoke indoors but then you have to explain yourself to the bouncer / bar staff to avoid getting kicked out!

Aren't these just the same as the NRT mock cigarettes that you can get on the NHS in the UK?

I don't fancy trying to explain to the Gorillas in shirts at my local nightclub that they have made a fool of themselves and my cigarette is in fact electronic and totaly legal...

I found i really enjoy electronic cigarettes, they are clean and wayyyyyyy cheaper than tobacco (in England anyway) not sure about thailand. But i loved having one for when in the airport and on the airplanes really too the edge off 12 hour flights.

this site i found for very cheap e-cigarette refills too but seen some sites selling same product (kit for £50 and refills for £15 so just shows some people around do things thai way others do them the right way.

Don't seem to get the same craving to smoke now either, i used to smoke roll ups and am now on the low nicotine refill and i think i will pack these in after my Songkran trip. Feeling much better for it as well.
