Has anyone stayed at the Eastiny Plaza? Seems good - the deluxe seaview room with breakfast buffet wifi etc is for 1250. Is this a good deal? There is no joiner fee as far as I can see for one girl, but what about if you have 2? Also, this is my first time, is the hotel well situated for a first time visit?

I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Hi mate, my pal has stayed at eastiny a few times and swears by it but there are hotels just as good for a lot less baht. I like LK mansion on soi Buakhao. very nice rooms there and quite cheap. think its around 750 baht night if i remember right. suppose it depends on peak season times etc.

Recently I stayed at Eastiny Seven at Soi 7 - a very good hotel, well maintained, friendly staff and almost on beach. Top floor sea view rooms are excellent and the off season rates are also around 1100 - 1300 Thai Bhat.

Stayed at EP last trip.

Good points--Clean, inroom safe, check all girls IDs coming and going--give you a call when she leaves, good shower pressure, pool is nice, good food and room service, located in very central and active soi.

Bad--no DVD player (only most expensive rooms have one--2000baht and up per night rooms), Whatever cable TV system they have is pretty weak--not a lot of channels, Noisy Soi--I dont mind noise but every night for ten days was just too much for me.

no idea about wifi, one girl is free others are 300baht per girl.

I give it a thumbs up, but would not stay there for extended periods.

kanpai!

What... service... may I do you? Hmmm? You know I demand payment.--- I brought payment. Look! BAM!! An undead monkey! Top that!

I was there with bolly. The rooms are fine. I didn't get free wi-fi in my room, but I didn't ask the front desk either. I wanted to believe that my hotel was close to the action of Soi 8 but didn't realize that the noise is almost the same as staying on Walking Street.

I would not stay again, especially with the 300 baht extra charge for bringing a second girl.

Eat. Down. South.

eastiny seven is my favourite, im booking there for end Oct! Cant really go wrong with this place - i might look around for others just for a change of scenery but its hard matching the price/standard/location/fascilities of this place.

its not wifi they give you an ethernet cable to plug into your laptop in your room, not bad speed.

Just posted this to another question and forgot to add a couple of things...see the PS at the end.

Stayed in the Plaza in October and going back there in January. Nice place and couldn't really fault it. I had a Junior Suite that had a nice view of the sea and a good view of Soi7. Noise?....well with the location you gotta live with that, but being a party animal, it never bothered me.

Plus points.....clean, convenient, reasonable price, cleaners will go the extra yard with regard to laundry etc. if you remember to tip! Rot the bellboy guy always eager to help with anything you may need, the guy is a walking pharmacy!! Not that I needed that sort of thing, but he is also a mine of information and knows a lot of ladies with varying tastes! There's one very pretty waitress works there who's on my hit list for next month....according to Rot she is VERY friendly....just sorry I never had the time to get round to her last time!

Negative points....Grumpy, non smiling reception staff. Asked to change a 100 baht note once for baht bus fares and the way they looked at me you'd think I'd asked to shag their asses!!

Anyway, enjoy! I will write a report about the place when I return in February.

Cheers,

FlipperSoi8

PS: Wired internet was in my room, speed OK. Tried breakfast once and it was crap..left overs from dinner the previous night. Apart from that, all as above. Marks out of 10.....8 Just gotta remember that you don't pick a hotel on Soi 7/8 it helps if you are a party animal like me!!

No, not one of those ladies but the one on the left may be worth a look when I get there next month!! The one I was thinking of is small, cute and early/mid 20's I guess.

Will be doing a trip report on a daily or twice daily basis when I am there, so I will let you know of any 'staff activities' at the Plaza....lol

Did you keep a balance of your cash in your room safe as the staff have a racket of helping you spend your cash by daily taking little bits out so you wont notice, This happens often and when confronted they dont understand and the video camera on the floors unlucky for you seems to be always out of order when you discover your loss

I was there oct 09.

I found the accommodation to be good and reasonably priced. Obviously the location is good also.

But I really struggled with the noise, I wouldn't stay there again now because of it. I've no problem with noise usually and like to party as much if not more than the next guy but when it's 2pm through to 4-5am day after day it's just too much.

You may be OK on a high floor but personally i won't be trying again.

Sorry, does the "Eastiny Plaza" have pool (swimmingpool)?

Thank-you
