Medications?

I posted this on the wrong forum I think, so I will repeat. I get medication from the VA every three months free. I am coming there in Sept and making plans to make it permanent, soon. What are the pitfalls of having it mailed to Thailand? Is it possible? I live in Mexico presently and have to use a US PO box. Mail in Mexico takes over a month to get delivered , if at all. Suggestions?

pharmacys are very plentiful in pattaya..

no prescriptions required either..

there is a large ex-pat community in thailand so,

I'd be very supprised if your meds couldnt be ordered for you there

Hello all...ArizPilot, have the VA send the stuff to a friend of yours in the US and then have the friend use FedEx to send to you in Thailand. The FedEx box will USUALLY arrive with out a problem. If you have the VA use the USPS a lot of times the USPS box will get opened and you will paying a duty fee after explaining what the "drugs" are all about. Seems everybody in Thailand has a different story about this topic.

 

Regarding you just going into the local pharmacy in Thailand and getting the same stuff you are getting in the states...maybe yes and maybe no. I take several blood pressure med's and a couple other things as I am a old guy.

Only one of the three blood pressure med's are available in Thailand even from Bumrungrad hospital. The other stuff I need is available but in my opinion not the real thing. samuijim
