The afternoon session was rather enjoyable...Australia suffering a collapse of English proportions. Broad took 5-19 in 46 balls. 8 wickets fell for 70 odd runs between lunch and tea.Nice to know we are dishing it out for a change instead of being on the receiving end

They bowled very well.

They deserve to be in control at the moment, they have totally outplayed us.

Australia got us to 58-3 by stumps and more by luck than judgement as I write this it is 84-3.

 

Although England bowled well and Australia had some ropey decisions, I would not like to bat last on this wicket, the pitch is deteriorating.

 

Talking of ropey decsions the replays also showed that one of the english guys out last night was out off a clear no-ball, the front foot was clean over the crease. So neither side can really whinge about that, umpires are human, as referees are in football.

 

Any lead over 300 will be a pretty tall order though in my opinion Australia can bat all the way down so it's still very much in the balance. I won't relax unless our lead is 400 plus.
