Samui Plane Crash

The update there is at least one death and 41 injured.

I landed there with no rain at all and it was the worst landing I've ever experienced. The pilot landed with the wings off-level and we bounced 3 times with the chassis all twisting to correct the imbalance of the wings. I had a aeronautics design engineer sitting next to me and he said this 3 seconds before we had the first touch of the ground, "TIghten you seat belt and I hope you are not a nervous flier". I know planes are designed to take this sort of stress.....BUT IM NOT :D

You'd think an aborted landing in severe weather conditions would be considered by the pilots, time schedules can't be that important.

Passenger safety is paramount on any flight especially with the law suits that could follow.

Arrester beds installed at the end of runways similar to truck arrester beds may be a solution.

You can't help but wish that was the case.

But given how short-sighted the Thai's can be sometimes... :Bravo1:

All of the passengers were foreigners from countries including Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Switzerland and Israel.

Another blow to Thai tourism... that has to sting.

Nicely written... it's funny stuff. :)

I think if you have flown around Thailand enough times you would have experienced pilots handling a plane like a tuk tuk.

May the pilot's soul rest in peace but hopefully this accident will lead to stricter regulations and training.

SAMUI OR BUST!!!

Its a shame to hear about the captain dying and the injured passengers. I wonder if the captain is really dead or is he hanging out with Two Pac and Biggie because he faked his death.

    • For those that don't know, I did Friday meetings before many years ago,  I feel like we are missing a regular meeting for members,  I am aware guys meet at PA affiliated bars. But I want to start meeting people again, I'm inviting the guys following my YouTube also.

The meetings is a chance to get to meet each other,  I plan to be at every meeting, I also have Dean from Dive bar that has offered to help out with a crawl after.
The meetings will be  Monday  6 pm - 8 pm each week.  (The improvised bar crawl will commence at 8 p.m.  Dean will make his own plans for that.)

Due to low numbers of people in town, I will start the meetings in our bars to help our girls and managers, please check back often incase things are changed.  I will be sharing the love around town later, but Soi 6 is first on my list (including bars that are friendly competition)
If bar owners want us to have a meeting at their bar,  they need to have a minimum of 10 girls.  I'm not dragging people to empty bars for favours.
Please help us invite other members, it takes a while to get momentum.
Monday 6 pm - 8pm  (then bar crawl after)

I look forward to meeting people again.
