Youtube Videos - New Way To Embed

Due to security problems, you now have to embed youtube videos using bbcode.

 

1. Open a reply box

 

2. Click on this icon (you will see that icon above the box you are typing your reply in.)

 

3. Then simply add the youtube url and click enter.

 

Its a lot easier and quicker.

 

If you find youtube videos that you cannot scroll past, please report the post.

If you have a youtube video in your signature or posts, please edit it to this new method.

actually I didn't need to mention bbcode, that was just extra information that isnt needed. If the instructions are followed you will see what bbcode is. (it is tags opposed to html)

This is a very old thread, youtube links are automatically converted now.

 

You can embed any video, if you can grab the embed code and put it in your post, then turn on html for that post.

Try using 'Full editor' mode (under text box) and then highlighting the link and selecting the 'insert media' button (top right)

That was the correct method on the old Invision software but not on the new software.

So, if I have understood it properly you can only embed YouTube videos by using the normal url-link and not the embed code, and you have to wrap it in the media /media?

 

My initial question still remains though!

But when I tried that nothing shows up just an empty space in my posting?

If I use the urls and wrap it in media/media only the linkt to the videopage will show?

I just tried it with viddler, it works fine, you must find your video, and get the embed code (HTML) (not wordpress option)

 

Then post it in your post with HTML auto ON, I think you are getting the code from the html source.

This is how I do it !

Log in to my account on Viddler.

Then I open my videolist with all my uploaded videos.

Click on embed and a new windows open.

Highlight the embed code and copy it.

Goes to here and paste it in my reply and

put HTML On-Auto Linebreak Mode.

I can also get the embed code by opening my choosen videos page and click on embed, choose HTML option,

copy the embed-code and then paste it here after choosen HTML On.

Just tried to embed a slideshow but doesn't show, it worked fine on Bangkok-Addicts when I tried earlier!

It should be the same software you use on both Forums right?

Still can't see anything? I have noticed that when I post a code on here that contains url adresses these are higlighted in blue?

Never seen that on other Forums?

Also when I open the reply page I often have other problems like the emoticons are not showing proparly or the options button is not showing or when I paste some writings from some other place to here it comes out in a long line instead of coming out in the original columns the way it was copied!

Another thing that doesn't work on here is that I can't copy the text from here?

When I try to highlight some text it turns out black instead of blue and when I right click on it there is no copy option!?

Forgot to say that when I want to edit I can only do that by using "full editor" in the fast one I can't save the changes!
