Amari

Just came back and stayed in Amari. In the very begin of beach road.

Payed about 2000B a night (garden sight). It's a very nice and luxious hotel.

But I was one of the few farangs in there. It was crowded with indians.

Not that I dislike Indians but they're a little different...

The men will swim in their boxershort. YES, also the seethrought ones.

And the ladies will only swim full clothed.

I didn't bother too much, but some farangs did complained.

Hi. I've heard a lot of good things about Amari and the pool looks amazing. But I've heard they charge a joiner fee, is this true?

Its obvious that the Amari hotel promotes in India to attract them to come across and I dont think anybody can choose who can be in hotels though I wouldn't be happy with it due to them being such nosey fuckers.Its a very nice hotel and you look forward to staying there on your holiday only to be confronted with them walking around and swimming in their boxer shorts. I can understand the women covering up due to their relegion probably but no excuse for the men and the hotel should have said something or put up signs saying proper swimming attire required in and around the pool.

Indian Men wearing see-through boxer shorts ranks up there for me with overweight and old British or Europeans who have managed to stuff themselves into tiny speedos and g-strings. Both are something I'd rather not see, but hey it happens. I am an American of Indian origin, and even I can't explain why some men from India can't just buy normal board shorts or swimming trunks.
