Body of Thai Woman discovered in a Bag dumped on the roadside

On Monday Morning, Police and Rescue Services were called to Soi Nokow in Central Pattaya opposite the Pattaya Park Condominium following the discovery of a body in a bag. Police Lieutenant Colonel Samlan from Pattaya Police Station was assigned to the case and arrived at the crime scene where he was directed to a large white bag which contained the body of an unknown female thought to be aged in her forties. Her body had been wrapped in black bin liners before it was placed in the white bag and her neck, hands and legs were tied together and it was clear that the woman had suffered severe head trauma prior to her death. Police estimate she had been dead for at least 4 or 5 days. The woman was fully clothed and was wearing a green T-Shirt with diamond shapes on the front with Red trousers and a tattoo on her ankle was found, depicting a flower. The body was discovered by a local street refuse collector who was unable to offer any clues as to who dumped the body and who the woman was. Police are now investigating this serious murder case as a matter of urgency and will begin by attempting to identify the woman and determining the exact cause of death. It is hoped that further forensic evidence will be found on the body which will hopefully lead Police to the killer or killers.

Police question bar workers as they try and solver the “Body in the Bag” murder case

On Monday we reported on the gruesome discovery of a body in a bag which had been apparently dumped on the side of the road in Central Pattaya. Since the discovery a dedicated team of Police officers have been investigating this disturbing murder and as part of the investigation officers have been showing pictures of the woman to people around Pattaya in an attempt to discover the identity of the woman which still remains a mystery. We joined them in Beer Bars close to Pattaya Police Station where employees were shown a series of graphic pictures including one of the victim’s face. Police hope that someone will recognize her so the investigation can move on. Unfortunately on Monday Night and up until Tuesday Afternoon, the investigation has still not progressed and Police are no closer to identifying the victim and arresting the person or group of people responsible for the murder.

Body in the Bag Murder case apparently solved as victim’s boyfriend confesses to the killing

It appears now that the recent “Body in the Bag” murder case has been solved and the woman’s alleged killer is now behind bars. Following the enquiries in local bars as featured by us on Tuesday, the younger sister of the victim saw the story on the TV and recognized the body as being that of her older sister because of the tattoo on her ankle. Khun Roongnapa aged 36 informed Pattaya Police who were told that the victim, Khun Oil was in a relationship with a local street refuse collector and Police were puzzled as to why he did not report her disappearance. They located him at a small wooden house behind the Cheunruk Inn Motel located off Third Road in North Pattaya. Khun Boonma aged 43 eventually confessed to killing his girlfriend just behind the house on 4th July. A single blow to the back of the head rendered her unconscious and after some time, he realized that he had killed her. Realizing he would have to dispose of the body he tied her up and placed her inside black bin liners which were then placed inside a large white bag. The street refuse collector placed the bag on his cart and searched for a suitable location to dump the body. Remarkably on the way to the location in Soi Nokow close to the Pattaya Pat Condominium he continued to collect refuse as normal. When Police asked Khun Boonma the reason behind him killing her, he explained that Khun Oil was a long time drug user and was also seeing at least one other man. She had just returned from Nakon Sawan Province after a visit to her other man and was broke and requested a 2,000 Baht loan from Khun Boonma to purchase some Yabba Tablets. An argument ensued and in a fit of rage, he struck her with a plank of wood but claimed that he had no intention of killing her. Khun Boonma is now facing murder charges and will remain in prison until his initial court appearance next week.

Nice to see them clearing up a few cases.

Assuming thats the full story then I feel a bit sorry for the guy. Not that anything justifies hitting a women from behind with a weapon (WTF!).

Tragic all around.
