just curious what the deal is when traveling to thailand with perscription meds (lipitor, zanax, viagra) ? Are there any issues with bringing these into the country or do I have to buy them there?

You can take them in just make sure that you have the original containers as well as your Doctors prescription. Take them in your checked luggage if you don't need them during the flight. Should not have any problems. Cheers T

When I tried to buy Temazapan (sleeping derivitive of Diazapan) I was told that any sort of valium had to be from a hospital with a prescription.

 

Might be wrong though, but was told so by several pharmacies.....

I managed to get Temazepam without a problem from a pharmacy on 2nd rd. You might find it helps to be buying a couple of other things at the same time - Thai pharmacists tend to be more flexible if they think they might lose a larger sale. Ideally buy something that, in itself, blurs the line of legality, such as pirated Cialis or whatever. Also helps to frequent one pharmacy and be friendly with them but, frankly, for the vast majority of medicines, that's not even necessary. It's just that Temazepam is a particular favorite of junkies.

 

I get the impression that you can't pull anything at Boots, stick to the Thai-owned pharmacies.

i take codine for my back which need i go to the hospital to get if i run out which i always do even if you can not get what you want at pharmacies go to hospital just means sitting around for a while
