Hi guys,

My family want to go for a holiday this christmas and NYE to Thailand!

We are thinking Phuket for a week then Koh Samui for a week.

Can anyone tell me what the weather will be like and will it be busy? is it high season?

Thanks

the xmas new year period is the busiest of high season..

weather should be fime with very little rain..i was in pats from november until febuary and dont remember any heavy rain..maybe a light shower..that was it

if your going to Phuket and samui id recomened booking a hotel as it could be hard to find accomadation you want unless you have it booked during this period

I have a Problem..... I just can't decide if its a good problem or a bad problem...

thanks for the reply fella.

I heard that prices go up in high season, how much do they go up?

Is it just hotel prices or does the beer go up too? how much? in samui last month at best in a bar i was paying 60 baht a large bottle. what would it rise to in December?

Also with the girls do they charge more in high season?

I normally go to Pattaya for Christmas and New Year

Only the flights and hotels cost more at this time of year.

The girls don't charge more and the bar fines are the same as the rest of the year

^ Your experience is very different from mine... hotel rates and bar fines definitely go up over the Christmas / New Years holidays...

Hey

Look at any hotel listing on the net.

You will see the season prices posted - usually much higher.

The rest of the stuff may go up a little - like restaurants - taxi.

Airfare is usually higher also.
