I really like the Tim Boutique hotel. Nice little upscale hotel, Great staff, nice beds, quiet, very girl friendly, excellent location, great baht bus access, and good prices can be found on latestays or Agoda. I'm all in.

Cheers

This last trip I stayed in my girls "loom"

Not sure of the name of the Soi, it runs north from Central road, about 100M East of Soi Bhukow.

Last trip was Marriott (loved it, but used frequent guest points so it was free); first trip many years ago I stayed in Jomtien and felt it was just too far from WS for me.

Next trip I plan to stay in the general vicinity of the Marriott (maybe even the Marriott if I can get enough points to offset the REALLY high room rate). I really loved the location. I like being on the baht bus loop (Beach Road and Second Road).

Some I am considering include Tim Boutique and LK Renaissance. Both seem to get very good feedback, are close to the same area and are much cheaper. I've seen good -- but inconsistent -- reviews/reports on Fraser Resort and Baywalk Residence. They look good, but I've seen reports/reviews from a couple of people who were unhappy with both.

I've also considered going north on the baht bus loop to Holiday Inn and Dusit Thani (where the baht bus loop cuts back to WS)

footypjman Honestly Ive stayed in a few places around the globe and as long as you dont mind paying that little bit more for quality and we got seaside rooms with huge balconies at the Baywalk you will be hard pushed to better it and only minutes away to walking st but as they say its up to you

Another place to recommend is Paragon Place, a bit far out of the way, especially from Walking Street but decent price, good size rooms and a pool.

Located just at the intersection of north pattya road and 3rd road.

Monthly prices from 9k + electric and water (6bth per unit and 200 bath for water)

Its part of the LK Group, not one of their high end places but decent and nice!

Do you stay at Sandy Spring over Xmas/NY when they add the 500 baht per day surcharge? This stopped me staying there, a shame as I like the hotel.

My Pattaya budget is perfectly adequate as long as I don't spend any of it

One of the alternatives offered in poll is "The Dark Side."

I've seen other mentions of such a place in threads here.

What and where is "The Dark Side" exactly??

The Darkside is the other side of Sukhumvit Rd (or even passed 3rd road).

For me, it's anywhere outside Soi 13!

First time I came to Pattaya I stayed at the Dusit, next two times I stayed at the Amari.I got a bit fed up with the posh hotels and the attitude of the other hotelguests in those hotels.

Next two times stayed at the Nova park loved the Jameson pub for food and drinks, most of the girls hated the walk from second road to the hotel.Lek hotel was the next hotel where I stayed four times,I stopped going there because I found that the rooms in the new wing where getting used and maintenance was not what it should be.On a next trip I went to Tim Boutique and loved it very much and and spend four more trips at the place,I had a great birthday party at there pool last October.I made the dissision to go to Augustsuites on my next trip

in May because I find that the rates at Tim Boutique are getting more expensive.I got a good deal at 1750THB poolside room inclusive breakfast.

Flipper House every time. New rooms are great and it is easy to get everywhere in Pattaya from there. Only downside is it can be a bit noisy if you get a room near the front.

Don't want to be a party pooper, but why give all your personal details away to a stranger, another thread, how old are you? where do you drink?, what country you from? what girls do you like? giving so much away might come back to haunt you one day, why does a stranger want to know how much i earn or spend, think about it?.

Its called profiling, flame away

I never stayed in a hotel for more than a few nights. Sometimes I'd change rooms mid swing. The staff at the LK Renaissance found that amusing.

I ended up at:

LK Renaissance - Nice hotel ... thought the fountain could've been bigger ... might've actually used it to swim.

LK Royal Suites - Again, a nice hotel

Tim Boutique - Great deal when you actually get a deal (<2000 baht) I really enjoyed my stays there. Include wifi in the price!

Caesar Palace - Never. Again. I had nicer accommodation in a Vancouver hotel that was situated above a night club and frequented by the city's heroin addicts. At least the broken stem of a crack pipe didn't fall out of the bedding at Caesars. I might've felt more at ease if I spoke some Russian.

Next time around I'm going to look for something that's high up and has an ocean-side view. I love waking up in the morning to a view. The tin roofs of beer bars and squirrel nested electrical cables got a bit old kinda quickly :Drink4:
