Unknown Middle-Eastern Man jumps to his death from View Talay 2.

On Friday Afternoon Police were called to the View Talay Condominium 2 Building B located on the Thappraya Road which leads down to Jomtien Beach to deal with a suspected suicide of a foreign National. At the scene, the Investigating Officer assigned to the case, Police Lieutenant Colonel Chalermgiet from Dongtan Police Sub-Station based on Jomtien Beach, inspected the body of a foreign man on a second floor ledge overlooking the main entrance. He is thought to be of middle-eastern origin and was instantly recognized by Khun Pitsanu aged 41 who is the manager of the complex. He had been caught smoking moments earlier in the stairwell on the 4th floor and was asked to stop as this was against the regulations of the complex. The unknown foreign man refused to speak but did put out his cigarette. Khun Pitsanu returned to the ground floor and a moment later was made aware of the apparent suicide. CCTV pictures from the elevator and corridor on the 14th floor showed the man in the elevator alone and he was seen to exit the elevator and walk towards the stairwell and then went out of sight. Evidence that the man stepped onto a ledge was found and Police are confident a third party was not involved in his death. The victim is thought to be aged between 40 and 50 and was 175cms in height, his skin was fairly pale and he had dark brown hair and also had a moustache. For now his name is not known and residents were also unable to identify him. Police are investigating.

I used to think that way too, but a lot of messed up and depressed foreigners flock to Pattaya thinking it might make them happy. The happy rush high of arriving to Pattaya doesn't last for a lot of them and they realize that they might not be happy anywhere. There are a lot of men coming to Pattaya looking at the beer bars like a dating scene, and end up burned. These guys get very depressed, and many are not living in reality.

Real sad to read about this poor chap... It seems farangs jumping from condo/hotels are very common nowadays in Pattaya... Money ran out or could not face going home because of debt or Girlfriend break ups etc are one of the most popular motives for killing themselves... RIP to this man and the rest who had done the same as him...

It seems he was having one last cigarette before jumping and was told to put it out before he could finish it.

As for suicide, I believe its everyone's right to choose life or death, I only wish there was a room like in Soilent Green (the movie) where you could go, get a blowjob and images like a disney ride, then turn on the drip...its how id like to go if i ever get some horrible disease rather than waste away.

Well if he is gonna suggest certain hotels to stay away from why not name them.. the "tall ones" although in jest doesn't answer the question.

as for naming places...why? who cares? trust me, folks arent randomly going around tossing other folks off of balconies...unless you mess with drugs or beat up a girl, im guessing you are 110% safe from that outcome.

 

my guess is lots of the suicides or deaths are attributable to health challenges (ie a bad ticker) or depression (though how anyone could be depressed in paradise im not sure, unless you run out of money and cant buy pussy). but, as i said before, if you feel the need to end it, i have no problem with that, go for it...its everyones right...i just feel for the folks that have to clean up after the jumpers or shooters...better to just overdose on Tylnol (whacks your liver out)...no muss, no fuss...you're dead in a few hours, peacefully.

 

soooo...on that note, im gonna go ENJOY my visit in pattaya...if i run out of money, i promise not to jump! Id only bounce anyways.

Well I always enjoy my visits to Pattaya too, but if there is a chance, like another poster stated, that certain hotels are being targeted then I would like to know. Your guesses that you are 110% safe if you behave yourself are simply that.. a guess! Therefore to trust your word I would want something more substantial than a guess. If someone has insider info that is more than a guess.. I'm all ears.. ;)
