Abrasive wounds

LaaMok

Recommended Posts

Having hi-jacked Laa Mok's original thread, to return to topic whatever happened to just pissing on the wound?? Free, ultra-convenient, available throughout the day, and it works if you believe in it strongly enough.

If it's your own wound, fair enough, a bit smelly and messy though.Someonme else's, mmmm you may have problems doing that without chucking them 500 Baht. Most things from a bottle or can would be better.

Yes, all logic suggests you can't shove horse blood into a person, but am convinced the guy had no reason to BS, so have just googled " horse blood human transfusions". Couldn't get it to copy-paste, but fished out this .......As late as the end of the 19th century, blood was commonly transferred from one animal to another and even from animals to human patients .. some of (the latter) appeared at least temporarily to be successful ........In 1921 Rene Cruchet transfused blood from horses (and other animals) into dogs: the promising results saw him inject horse blood into 12 patients -- 9 with TB, 1 'insane', and 2 others. One died immediately from the horse blood, but Cruchet claimed the others improved their conditions and that patients 'even asked urgently for' more of the same.

That Portuguese guy I can only describe as being 'frenetic'. Maybe the horse blood did to him (and to Cruchet's subjects) what a blood pressure medicine did to those males originally prescribed viagra who kept going back pounding on the doctor's door for more.

Look, I am not going to argue with you or patronise you. My degree is in Biochemistry and Microbiology (albeit 1986).

Science isn't simple and I don't expect anyone to understand immunology, but I assure you, horse blood and human blood is NOT compatable. We used to use horses to make antigens, in fact they are still made to make snake antigens.

There are literally thousands of things in blood that will cause an immune response=clotting, heart, lung and liver failure and death, and that, as I said before is in humans with the same blood type. The antibodies and antigens in horse blood to human are as different as shit to cream. Even pigs, whose insulin and organs are still used, and who have very similar blood groupings to humans, cannot provide any blood whatsoever to humans. The insulin is purified and fucked around with and still causes reactions, the heart valves etc come along with immunosuppressents.

At the end of the day believe what you want, no flame, just it's like telling an electrician that is doesn't matter which wire is connected to another wire.

I love the way these medical threads are always so popular!

I think we should combine this thread with the self surgery one.

A few free beers (to be taken intravenously of course) to the first bm who can post video of their self-surgery and the wounds healing. The dressing must contain maggots, urine, honey, horse blood and the patient must be hooked up to a fresh coconut at the time!

Honey is sterile. No bacteria can live in it and it never goes off!

Egyptian Tombs have been found to contain 2000yr old pots of Honey that was in perfect condition.

Wonderful for Burns.........
